"Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Apparently, these battle fields are supposed to be in RB 2. The only problem I have are the ROSAT and Kame House, but those are definitely possibilities.

I'd be willing to bet the 59.99 USD price-tag that, once again, the game won't penalize you for quitting during online matches.
And how can they (Spike/whoever handles the magazine stuff) even stomach the lie that Dabura, Tullece, and Janemba are anything CLOSE to 'new characters'? Is that what amounts to a "new character" these days? Stuff you intentionally withhold from the game's predecessor? Next thing you know, Mr. Satan is going to be a "New" character. I mean after all he's only been in, what, 9 Dragonball fighting games?

Super Saiyan Blue is not a creative color.
DBZ Movie 3 told a stronger and more believable "Evil Goku" story in 60 minutes than Dragon Ball Super has in 20 episodes. And it did it with better visuals and score.

As I understand, they're being advertised as new to the series, not games in general.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Which is bull because outside of the name and jump to this generation(as apposed to the PS2) it's exactly like the Tenkaichi series. Just because you changed the title doesn't mean it's a different game. Not to mention, it's bull that these characters couldn't make it into Raging Blast. They intentionally withheld them to advertise "20 new characters."JulieYBM wrote:As I understand, they're being advertised as new to the series, not games in general.
Am I crazy or am I really the only one here who realizes that this is the exact description Raging Blast had, That these are the same levels we've seen in the past 4 installments, and that NONE of these characters are new?
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
They did have to rebuild the game from scratch in the jump to the new counsoles. Raging Blast may just be a retread, but it is a different series of games.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Which is bull because outside of the name and jump to this generation(as apposed to the PS2) it's exactly like the Tenkaichi series. That doesn't excuse it for being repetitive shite. Games don't get away with being rehashes just because they're on a new console.JulieYBM wrote:They did have to rebuild the game from scratch in the jump to the new counsoles. Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Raging Blast may have also been a test to see what they could do on a next gen system. RB was Spike's first next gen game after all.JulieYBM wrote:They did have to rebuild the game from scratch in the jump to the new counsoles. Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Irregardless, When Ratchet and Clank made the jump to PS3 they didn't cut out clanks in "Future: Tools of Destruction" only to announce him as a new character to the series in "Futures: a Crack in Time." If anything we should have seen more in Raging Blast, not less only to have the sequel give the illusion of more.JulieYBM wrote:

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Hey, I'm just pointing out the facts here. They're saying "new to the series" (Raging Blast), which is true. You may not like it but for those who might've only jumped on the bandwagon with Raging Blast will find these to be new characters..
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Well, Insomniac had a lot more money and than Spike, and there's a lot more people actually following R.a.C. than the Tenkaichi series.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Irregardless, When Ratchet and Clank made the jump to PS3 they didn't cut out clanks in "Future: Tools of Destruction" only to announce him as a new character to the series in "Futures: a Crack in Time." Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Yeah, that's true for any new comers, but people who have been following these games for five plus years know it's nothing but fluff to try and make a quick buck. The facts are we are getting these half assed games with really thin claims behind them. If there is anyone on this site who is new to the Dragonball gaming experience, go pick up Tenkaichi 3 for about $15(used) and check all the new levels and characters that are going to be "exclusive for the first time" in Raging Blast 3(That is if 2 actually survives well enough to warrant another sequel).

...November 2nd? Really, Namco Bandai?
First, your own Tales Studio goes under heavy debt, and now this?
Wow, they've certainly made a lot of bad business decisions lately. Not marketing most of their franchises well enough is definitely one of them. -_-;

Atari would have made a lot better business decisions. I wish they'd renew their rights to Dragon Ball.Super Klonoa wrote:...November 2nd? Really, Namco Bandai?

Fixed for what? Atari doesn't have any rights to DB anymore so how would they sell those rights?Zephyr wrote:Fixed.mysticboy wrote:I wish they'd sell their rights to Dragon Ball.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Has it been confirmed yet whether or not some of the new members of the Kai voice cast doing voice-over work for RB2? I wouldn't be suprised.
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
That would be the right way to go. But all the changes will not have been made, since Kai won't be at the end of the story when the game is released. Mr Satan not being in the game, we won't have a clue about a new voice for him either. But characters that are already done like the Ginyu Commando will likely have their new voices, let's hope so.Ultimate_DB_Fan wrote:Has it been confirmed yet whether or not some of the new members of the Kai voice cast doing voice-over work for RB2? Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
That would make sense if the VAs were to be in RB2. I wouldn't put it past them.Ultimate_DB_Fan wrote:Has it been confirmed yet whether or not some of the new members of the Kai voice cast doing voice-over work for RB2? I wouldn't be suprised.

Raging Blast isn't a rehash. Infinite World is a rehash, Raging Blast looks really different to BT3.Taku128 wrote:That doesn't excuse it for being repetitive shite. Games don't get away with being rehashes just because they're on a new console.
