I guess it's possible... But I don't think they'd be willing to to one episode a week. It would probably be more costly to do it that way. Though I suppose a subtitles simul-cast would work. But then... If FUNi was interested in that idea, then they would've started by now. Don't you think so?

Wishful thinking. They'll probably dub it, like they did with "Over The Star".

Well, I was joking, but I am curious as to how they will adapt it. If they are still going with "The Ginyu Force", they may change the "Tokusentai" part to simply "The Ginyu Force", which wouldn't sound very good as lyrics with the tune.

That's my major concern in the song, but I'm pretty sure FUNi will figure something out.

That's why earlier I suggested calling them the Ginyu special squad.

Though I suppose they could go for terms like "here's the Ginyu force!" , or "Teammm Gin-yuuu!"

I don't think that would be very good either. The "Ginyu" part would have to be said quickly, and would sound rushed.

I have a feeling they might do that.

"GO, GINYU FORCE! GO, GINYU FORCE!" is the same amount of syllables as "TOKUSENTAI! TOKUSENTAI!"

"Ginyu Force" never seemed like a bad term. I mean, you don't really need to add "special", because we know they're special simply by how they're talked up and feared.

*facepalm* Why the hell didn't I think of that? I was thinking strictly on the terms of them only using the name of the team, like the Japanese one. I guess just a little thinking outside the box solves the problem!

That works very well, and brings about feelings of "Go! Go! Power Rangers!", which adds even extra win.

Oh yeah, I definitely agree.

Agreed. I also feel the "special" part is redundant.

Ginyu Tokusentai

Ginyu Special Squadron

Seems to be the same number of syllables, unless my years away from any English class has left my mind barren.

Could be worse. Imagine if they called them the Ginyu Rangers (as the closest thing the average American would get to the Sentai pun).

Ginyu Force isn't bad, but like mentioned above, there is a desire to communicate the Sentai pun (A sentiment I feel after watching some of Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger).

"'Special Squadron! Special Squadron!" also works for the song.

I'm sort of looking forward to how they handle it. I think they should ham it up (the song, that is). It's Funimation, we know they're capable of this.

They're supposed to be hammy, that's why they're so awesome. Awesomely Camp, like Adam West Batman. Only, without the awesome voice (especially without Brice Armstrong...though, if they could get Adam West to play Ginyu, that would be hilarious).

Jackson_H from FUNimation's board contacted Sabat through Facebook in regards to the "brother's and sisters" error, and this was Sabat's response:
Christopher Sabat on Facebook wrote: Yeah. We noticed it too late for TV. We were rushing so hard to get it out that door that it somehow slipped by us. We're trying to fix it for the DVD.
So hopefully the line will be corrected on the DVD release.

The GO! reminds me of Power Rangers, that's a good thing. :D

I still like the idea of them being called the Ginyu Special Squad though. It's overdone sounding, just like them!

I think Teammm Gin-yuuu! might roll off the tongue better though.

Seeing as they have a buttload of time to fix it, there should be no excuse whatsoever for it to not be fixed for Blu Ray.

"to-ku-sen-tai"
"gi-ny-u-force"

It kinda works.

Syllable-wise perhaps, but in song and to that tune, it doesn't sound very good at all.

I think they should rename them the Ginyu Rangers. It fits the song and it helps translate the fact that the Ginyu Force are a Sentai team into something an English speaking audience knows.

Freeza Sentai Ginyuranger!

That would be somewhat amusing, if they did so. Though, amusement aside, I'm uncertain if that's a good thing.
