Ah -- I guess I haven't watched all that many of the movies so I don't have many other movie villains for comparison. I mean, I don't think Broly is an especially uninteresting character at all (given that he's a movie character, rather than a regular show character -- I guess he does have quite a lot of background). I don't have a problem with him. Maybe I should go watch movie 8 again; it's been a few years. Anyway, I wasn't trying to bash on him or anything. I guess I was just thinking that if/as he changes from a "movie character" type level of involvement to a "regular character" type level of involvement, the dimensionality they portray for him (since I think it's perfectly agreeable to say that he has such dimensionality "in him," so to speak) should increase as well. But I'm thinking too much into it. XD I am reading this comic solely for the purpose of seeing various fun fights, after all...Xyex wrote:He is one of the more interesting characters, with far deeper mental background, if you a) ignore movie 10 (11 doesn't count as it's not even him) and b) don't dumb movie 8 down because you either don't like the character or expect him to have as dumb a basis as the other movie villains. Tapion's the only movie original character that had more work put into him than Broly.
In short, my apologies, move along and ignore my babbling.
