Which will you get Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 2 or Dragon Box 4?

Dragon Box vol. 4 for sure. I might pick up DB Kai eventually, but I don't really see that happening anytime soon.

Kai volume 2 for two reasons:

1. I'm more interested in continuing this new dub than I am going through my complete all Japanese run with the Dboxes right now.

2. I still need to get Dbox 2 and 3 first, so it will probably be later that I get 4.

I am going to wait for Dragon Ball Kai season sets to be released in a much cheaper form before I purchase them (no matter how long it takes).

I will be getting Dragon Box 4 first, and the rest of the forthcoming boxes. After that, then I will focus on getting the Kai sets.

DBZKai. I ultimately decided against the Dragon Boxes. I already have all 9 season sets, the picture quality doesn't bother me, and I prefer the dub. The Dragon Boxes are constantly called "the release for the fans of the japanese version," which I just don't fall into the category of.

Kai kind of feels like a double dip but also not at the same time.

Both, I guess I'm just a die-hard fan boy but its very interesting watching the series in the Kai pacing and at the same time the Dragon Box is just awesome. I even have the orange bricks for crying out loud.

I'll be getting Dragon Box 4. At this stage, I don't know when I'll buy the Kai release. It's being released in Australia soon, but the quality probably won't be as good...

I am gonna get both, but since I held off on watching Kai since I just finished my sweep of the whole series (DB/Z/GT), I may hold off on the Dragon box as well even though I love getting things when they first come out. I am a bit low on cash after buying all the re-re-re-releases of Dragonball, so I think I'll wait until they lower in price. For example, the dragon boxes could have been had for $26.99 on amazon a few weeks ago, and the Kai part one blu ray for only $24.99. I have heard people on here paying over double for these, what a shame

Going further off of what I said before, I'm probably going to get the Dragonbox rather than Kai despite the fact that I like Kai more.

- Even though it's edited, I can see Kai on Nicktoons several days a week. I can't get that with Z.
- I want to financially support what FUNimation calls the "hardcore fans" by buying this release.
- For awhile I've been able to to appreciate DBZ more as an anime than I used to. The manga's still my favorite, though.
- Going off the second reason, I want DBox the Movies and the Dragonball DBox.
- I'm getting tired of the Saiyan and Freeza arcs. The next DBox will be completely Artificial Human stuff!

Exactly. I couldn't agree with you more on every single point. I probably wouldn't be rushing to get the DBoxes as soon as they come out if not for the fact that I feel that I really need to. I need to support this release because it's what I've wanted for ten years. I need to prove to FUNimation to the best of my ability that it's commercially in their best interests to continue making releases like this. Specifically, to continue making them for the other DB series (and maybe hopefully Kai too someday).

Definitely Dragonbox 4. I want Funimation to keep going with these releases. I don't think I'd be into Kai all that much considering it's just a shortened version of DBZ anyway.
