DBZ Movies 8 & 9: Trunks/Vegeta Transformations

Has anyone noticed that both Trunks and Vegeta transform into USSJ1? If not notice that Trunks rips his sweater to shreds with the increased muscle mass in the Broly Movie. And also notice that he does not have his jacket sleeves in the Bojack movie when he did throughout every single DBZ episode and movie to this point unless he increased in muscle size in his base form.

Could this be the reason Trunks killed one of Bojack's henchmen in one blow to the stomach?

I'm watching Movie 8 right now, and it's painfully obvious that Vegeta & Trunks' muscles are that of an USSJ's.

What exactly are you asking here? If Trunks can transform into a "USSJ"?

If Movie 8, yeah, probably.

But not Movie 9, at least not in that particular shot you posted. No way is Trunks as buff as a Super Saiyan Grade 2.

He was caught off guard; same reason how Bojack was able to knock Trunks out shortly after.

I think that in Movie 9 Trunks is actually USSJ1 because how could he have such big muscles such as here:



And another thing, when Trunks turns USSJ it only takes one blow to the stomach to completely go throgh him when one blow in base form couldn't do the job. Trunks also didn't catch him off guard because he actually broke the sword by holding his arm against it.

It'd be kind of weird if Trunks used it but Vegeta didn't. Then again it would be following the canon storyline that Trunks didn't realize the weakness of the forms. Or Trunks' muscles just weren't that noticeable in the jacket.

I remember that moment of the movie. It seemed strange to me, but it was the only moment where Vegeta's hair or muscle looked the same in both USSJ and base forms. Maybe he descended to normal SSJ before reverting to normal?

He never actually got to land any shots while in base form.

I'm not sure how you define "off-guard" but Gokua didn't do anything to defend the punch, I don't think you can really dispute that.

The movies only take from what is given in the manga.

Choosing to omit Vegeta and Trunks' best forms at the time doesn't really follow the trend, concurrent with WSJ. In fact, Daizenshuu 6 shows that the USSJ designs were used by the animators, so Vegeta obviously had to have been using it in at least one of the two movies. Personally, I believe they were USSJs in both movies since it only makes sense for them to be. Which I could probably dig up some comparison shots to back up.

Yeah, it seems to me that Trunks is in USSJ1 form throughout these two movies because I see no reason for him to rip his jacket in movie 8 without actually increasing muscle size.

And as for movie 9 it seems that Trunks has increased his muscle mass in base form because he has no sleeves whatsoever when he actually had them throughout every single DBZ episode and movie to this point and I would see no point for him to do this at this point except for him to comfort his muscles. Also, do keep in mind that this is the last time we see Future Trunks with vastly different features from before.
