What happened to the MFG Forums?

I wasn't sure where to put this so I'll just post it here so anyway, I decided to head over to the MFG forums to read some DBZ PL debating but when I got there the front page was completely deserted. There was no news and the forum was also gone. Does anyone know what happened?

I read that the guy in charge of the forums decided to shut it down. I forget when this was, I want to say about a month ago.

Ace, the Headmaster gave us, the members less than a day's notice that he was shutting down the forums. His reasoning was that the activity was getting lower and lower by the day and that paying for a dying forum wasn't worth it anymore. But the main site is still being kept up. Pretty useless though besides the episodes guide imo. Pretty bad ending seeing that everyone was trading their info to other networking services and then....404

Personally, I (Namek'jin Ryu (a.k.a. Superior)) think Ace was just in it for the money since he threatened Members if they didn't help pay for it he'd shut it down. So when the staff turned on each other and lead several Members away, there went his money thus went the forum.

Nonetheless I'm glad it is gone. It had turned into a laughing stock anyway.

It's sad that it died. Some people don't do anything web-based for education anymore. It's just about money nowadays.
Just look at the advanced ads, and not to mention YouTube and Google.
I hate YouTube's ads. They pop up during the video and ruin the experience totally.

From what I have picked up, it was first a video game reviewing site, which was later transformed into a Dragonball site, because of that the owner started to like it.

Godo is right. Sharky and his brother dino originally wrote game reviews. Eventually they started posting a bit about DBZ and saw their daily hits skyrocket thus they decided to change it to DragonBall. I have no idea how Ace fits in the whole picture but recently rumors started floating around that he's actually Sharky and dino's father.

Yeah MFG pretty much died and it was too bad since it was a great site even though the AS was okay. Their is a new site made by several left over members, but it's not a DB site though.

The new site is not even a Dragon Ball site, and Punxx said he does not want the site to become a MFG2. Too bad the fourm came to a end since it was fun while it lasted. Good thing the front page is still around and you can still use it to find images.
