Re: Vegeta's hair
He seems like a pretty laid back guy. In interviews and his little side stories in the manga he seems pretty humble and shy. He has a reputation for being pretty forgetful. He forgot Shuu and White's names. He completely forgot all about Tao in an interview. He drew Yajirobe on the spine art of the Tankobon twice etc.I love how the fans remember his work better then he does.

Re: Vegeta's hair
I usually try to justify it (the color changes and the differing hair colors in general) by just figuring that all Saiyajin have really really dark hair -- to the point where it can be approximated to black (but isn't technically). So the similarity or difference in their hair color can be emphasized in different ways...? (Like if you want to make some super snazzy art of Vegeta, you're not just gonna leave his hair all pitch black with some generic white shiny areas. You've gotta have that in-between color...and what is it? Well, it's been decided for us -- brown! For Goku I think it's typically blue when it has color at all?)
Re: Vegeta's hair
Blue? I'm not quite sure I've ever noticed it as blue before.

Re: Vegeta's hair
Eh, yeah, now that I look again I think you're right; must've just been a few things I saw that gave me that idea. I like making the sheen in his hair slightly blue when I draw to differentiate it from Vegeta's and I must've just figured that I gathered that from somewhere. Now I have to try to figure out where I found that, hm...
(Though I did at least say that the blue is in the pictures where it has a color at all [not gray or white] so um...maybe I'm technically still right?
)
EDIT: Man, I'm sorry for the confusion, I feel like a crazy person now 'cause I can't find a single piece of official art where the shine in Goku's hair has blue around it rather than gray.

Re: Vegeta's hair
So what exactly the question is? Vegeta hair color supposed to be black. so if it's not black, there only errors!
Re: Vegeta's hair
It's not an error though, it's just an alternative coloration Toei decided to do.
No problem, It would look cool if it did have a blue tint. I kind of wish they would have done something like that.ShiningMoon wrote:

Re: Vegeta's hair
Goku's hair in movie 8 is pretty blueish, even more than black.

Re: Vegeta's hair
I recall Goku having the blue tint to his hair in some very late Buu arc episodes. I want to say this is around the time when they start creating the genki dama to take down Buu.
Re: Vegeta's hair
Could that have been the light of the Energetic Ball (possible translation, that I like to use for "Genki Dama") shining down on Gokuu's hair? I believe that if you get the light on something pure black, it can sometimes come across as blue. Billy Connolly commented on it once, I believe. "You know those black guys, who if you get the light on them right, get a bit blue?"

Re: Vegeta's hair
Well, there is the fact that, in animation, blue is often used as a highlight color for black.
