Vegeta Said Knock You Out

Post by MalikArcanum » Wed Jul 07, 2010 3:00 pm

Ok, I'm sure most people here have seen the clip on youtube where Chris Sabat sings LL Cool J's song "Mama Said Knock You Out". Well, I watched it & got an idea: Why don't I edit Chris' rap to fit the original beat of the song?

It ended up being harder than I expected, since Chris read it like free-form poetry, with no rhythm whatsoever. It's not perfect, but It's as good as I could get it without having a better quality clip.

Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2FHaAuCPCs

A simple little edit. Tell me what you think.

If you would like it, I could give you a link to an mp3 of it, so you wouldn't have to rip it from the video.

I actually have a Firefox add on that rips the audio from Youtube videos itself. Thank you for the consideration though.

I agree, Transformers is the best.

Megatron, the original prideful, arrogant, slightly cowardly villain.

There probably wouldn't be a Frieza if not for him.

Thanks! Mr. Sabat is by far the funniest voice actor that I've seen.

Sure.

It's an edit of you Imperfect Jam to make as close to a studio track as possible. I edited the tempo to be a little more uniform, EQ'd it a little bit, & cut out most of the "jammy" parts. Not meant to be better, just a little more polished.

It's pretty rough, but here you go:

Haha Great! =D

Yeah my live playing of it is pretty rough(me not being a drummer), you cleaned up a lot of junk :) I would do similar editing for a polished track, though I'd have MIDI notes to push around instead of audio clips like you had to deal with.

Now it just need a layer of that bass sound hehe.

I really think you should make a polished version.

There's a lot of parts in the jam that don't quite work, but the parts that do, like the ones I used in my little edit, have the potential to be far better than any of the official tracks for Cell.

Also, If you do make one, you could make an amped up version with the Perfect Cell synth, & make you own "Perfect Jam"

That would be epic.

Maybe eventually :) There's always Grand Apron which has some of that drum sound, not nearly as fancy playing though. Kinda slower and then more metalish patterns toward the end.
