Was the 'Piccolo Jr. Part 2 DVD Set' ever released?
I can't seem to find it anywhere which lead me to believe that it wasn't even released. Can anyone please clarify?

I own a copy. According to Amazon it was released on August 19, 2003.
Here's the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Picco ... 719&sr=8-2
I don't know if you could get it cheaper anywhere else though; I bought mine for $9.99 used at GameStop back when they did sell used DVD's. Amazon's current lowest asking price is $37.88.

On hiatus.

It's just incredibly rare. Before the Blue Bricks came about, finding Dragonball on US DVD wasn't very difficult or expensive for the Red Ribbon arc and the 22nd Budoukai, but the 21st Budoukai and everything related to Piccolo was super rare and expensive!

Why would you want this box set? there's Blue Bricks now.

Maybe he has all the others and he's trying to complete the set as best as he can.Goku100xKamehameha wrote:Why would you want this box set? there's Blue Bricks now.

Does this box set have the original Japanese language?

Actually the Blue Bricks haven't, and never will be released by Madman as the entire series can be obtained uncut through the 2 Fat Packs. I was considering purchasing the 2 Disc packs as I only wanted to see certain episodes but I've decided that I might as well by the whole series.

Things like that happened with YYH too a few years back. Could find the old season 1 set easily, same with Door to Demon World/Chapter Black and Three Kings, but the two Dark Tournament sets were hard to find. Had to buy 2 of those 2-disc sets and 4 singles to get those eps. (My college years had a lot of time in-between jobs, so that's why I didn't get them when they came out).Kendamu wrote:It's just incredibly rare. The fat packs are expenisve, but if Madman were to release the Blue Bricks, they'd be even more expensive.Impish wrote:Seriously, madman's not doing the blue bricks? Aww fudge, the fat packs are so darned expensive. I only want the tournament sagas.

The 'Fat Packs' are actually quite good value considering you get over 2000mins worth of Dragon Ball while the 'Blue Bricks' (If they were released in NZ and Aus) would be about $60 for only 800mins.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:The fat packs are expenisve, but if Madman were to release the Blue Bricks, they'd be even more expensive.Impish wrote:Seriously, madman's not doing the blue bricks? I could totally understand why someone might want the saga sets over the blue bricks. The blue bricks only have the English title cards. The original saga sets had both English and Japanese title cards.

Exactly. That's why I prefer them. They're still not perfect, but at least the title cards are there. And they're cheap now. So for me, it's spending around $5 for an imperfect set or $30 for an imperfect set. Unless the DBoxes show up, it's a no-brainer.

Agreed. The only reason I can think of as to why someone living in Australia might import the blue bricks rather than buy the fatpacks, is that the blue bricks are more "remastered" or something. I don't care personally because Dragon Ball is a 20+ year old show and I really don't see how it can look that much better.Goku100xKamehameha wrote:Well, I didn't know that before but now that I know it, yeah! you should buy the 'Fat Pack"!

I HOPE they don't make DragonBoxes, because I've already got all the season sets. >.<
