Daizenshuu Translated?

Post by Ultimate Saiyan Trunks » Wed May 18, 2005 12:27 am

Have the Daiz books been translated in American yet? If so, where can I find them?

If you're looking for the books OFFICIALLY translated into American :), that's impossible, or I would have heard about it. Though it's still probable (on a slim level) that they'll be translated once FUNimation releases every last DB/Z/GT DVD to ever grace the planet.
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

Perhaps he means "translated in America"?
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

Does it matter? We still understand what he wants to know, right? :P

Regardless, there's more than one country that speaks English.

But there's really only one that speaks American.

I think he's emphasi(s/z)ing a translation by which all the dialog(ue) is spelled in a manner favo(u)rable to American readers, so that none of the humo(u)r is lost on those who can't afford the labo(u)r of ploughing through words unfamiliar to them.

Either that or a translation that is measured in Fahrenheit, miles, and gallons.

I choked on my coffee laughing at that.

I can think of a few countries that use American spellings, not including the US. But then again, I'm not so sure...

It's not because they don't use the exact English spelling that it's American, it could be their own 'dialect'

But then again, you have certain countries that were heavily influenced by American presence on their soil. The Philippines comes to mind.

Uh, you guys are getting quite off topic here. The guy asked is it being released in "America", not in "English". Odds are someone already translated it in English somewhere out there. Since Viz nor FUNi has licensed it yet, it'd be cool if Mike and Julian could pull off translations till the release announcment is made for America.

I hope that Viz releases it soon. I'm still sad that I didn't get them at AB2K5.
