"2, 3 and even 4 player battles" pretty much confirms 1 vs 1 right? Surely it doesn't mean 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4. Now THAT would be crazy. The PSP would probably explode

So I assume that massive character screen was all or the majority of the playable characters?

If so, Broly without any other movie characters?

Fucking Freeza soldier without anyone from GT or Dragon Ball?

Oh well. I'd definitely pick this up if I had a PSP.

It doesn't bother me much. I do have to say that I'm liking the graphical style a bit better than what I've seen of Raging Blast 2. Raging Blast 2 just doesn't quite look cel-shaded enough. I like it best when my Dragonball games resemble the source material's 2D-ness as much as possible. Tag Vs. seems to be a little less guilty of missing the mark.

It looks more like some presentation that a site or magazine made, and it's in spanish. It would be cool if some of the spanish board members could translate that.

When was he confirmed? I didn't see him in the trailer.

Well I mean, assuming he makes it in...

Isn't there like 70 characters? Trunks ought'a make it.

Actually, I've seen him in an ad already! He's definitely in it!

Uh, wasn't that more aimed at King Cold?

Okay, this fully confirmes it. The game is just Tenkaichi 3, but with 2 on 2 battles.

Wow thats some conclusion ..

At least it is the first game with lots of characters since Sparking Meteor.
I would love to see a Burst Limit 2 with this much of a cast,
but for now, lets just see the news in this tag game.
Like, worst than Sparking Meteor it could not become.

I like the way the scenary is fully opened ..
with many buildings, mountains or irregular grounds Sparking games
suffered much with camera and limited area with translucid walls.

The best "grounds" for fighting were those of Shin Budokai 2 for PSP.
Remember when you rise or follow your opponent in the air, and
the horizon drops from one side to another just as if you were on a
flight simulator !!!!! Sweeeeeet...

Dimps and Spike have different beliefs when it comes to the roster for DB games. Unlike Spike, Dimps does not believe in having 3 Vegetas, 4 Gohans, 2 Future Trunks' and i can go on and on. The only way Dimps would have different version of a character is if theres a obvious age difference like Kid Gohan, Teen Gohan, Big Gohan. Yeah Spike has this too but they also seperate Ultimate Gohan which is dumb.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

And also, they consider these forms different characters. It's absotively dumbtarded. I like Raging Blasts take. It was (coincidentally) very similar to a suggestion I posted before the game came out. :P

I forgot about that ..
It means half a roster are just tons of gokus with
different outfits and limited transformation and specials.

That picture above shows there is the translucid wall too.
Man this is so boring.

How is it dumb? He couldn't be any more different than basic Buu-era Gohan. Different fighting style, different clothes, different personality, different attacks... it may work in Sparking!/Raging Blast as a transformation, but in the Budokai games, its quite lame. Mystic Gohan in Budokai 3 is a waste of a great character. He's a seldom-used form that is indistinguishable from the other Gohan forms (just like just about every transformation in every Budokai). The thing about Sparking! is, a character can transform to be something as a polar opposite to the previous form. Take Janemba for instance. In Budokai, a transformation is merely a build-on to a character; same basic combos, specials, and the like. If you're going to bitch about a game having separate characters of Gohan, complain about Dimps' choice to have Great Saiyaman as his own character, but leave my Mystic Gohan alone. :(

To this day, the only Dimps game to have a future Trunks without a sword is Shin Budokai 2. :-| Every other game completely ignores his existence, "which is dumb." Honestly, there's no reason to bitch about it in the first place. It's more consistent. It's not like they would have added an additional character for every clone they didn't make.

I'd say one of the great mysteries of this century is the grudge people have against Sparking! titles. If you don't like them, go play your Street Fighter-wannabe games or Burst Limit or whatever. You'll not convince anyone to like your games more. Honestly, I think people bitch, whine and moan and claim superiority of the Budokai games is because its obvious just how superior Sparking! is, so they hold that position just to be shocking and different. And before I put up my flame-shield, I say this in terms of Dragon Ball games. You can't tell me the Budokai games are better DBZ games. SSJ4 Gogeta vs. Super Yī Xīng Lóng standing on the ground trading punch combos. Dragon Ball is nothing like Tekken. wtf. Has anyone even fought on the ground since the Saiyajin Saga?

Fully agreed. That's actually why I like the Tenkaichi series more. The fights are almost exactly like they are series (minus all the powering up and trash-talking). All the excitement and suspence, the fast-paced combos, the teleporting, the environment getting destroyed, the dashing and the stunning 3D Ki blasts and stages. It's all there. I know I've said this before, but I feel like I'm actually playing the Anime (especially on the Wii). I simply don't get this feeling when I'm playing the Budokai games. They just feel like generic fighters that really don't stand out of the crowd. The Tenkaichi series is something different, something that we've never seen before.

Not to mention:
18 vs Vegeta
17 vs Piccolo
Cell vs Trunks
Cell vs Gohan
Gotenks vs Super Buu(the entire battle in the Room of Spirit and time was grounded)
Ultimate Gohan vs Super Buu
Goku vs Kid Buu
Fat Buu vs Kid Buu

Basically all of those fights spent a majority on the ground. While there were instances where characters were in the air most of the battle stuck to the ground(something that's typical in any Budokai game).

Just saying.
