It says 'RTL' in the top left, did the German dub use We Gotta Power as an opening?

I know at least once I was watching DragonBall Z, possibly around the time we had Magical Being Boo going on a rampage, and the visuals of "We Were Angels" were playing, though I can't remember if it was the instrumentals of the song.

Ah, it appears Wikipedia says he sang only for several anime themes, but doesn't specify what he did for Dragon Ball Z, but he did play guitar for them apparently.

Anyway, Dies ist nicht ein deutsches thread! (I think that's how you say that...)

I've got two words for that: as if.

Yeah, they've got a few MPs on board. Big whoop. I'm sure there are plenty of MPs who condemn video games or violent movies too, but I don't see them getting anywhere in terms of banning anything.

Well judging by the comments responding to the article which have dates on them, it looks like it was written in 2006, so it's a 4 year old article.

I wonder if Dragonball Z will ever air in the UK again. It seems Cartoon Network, NickToons and Disney XD belong to the No Anime Allowed club.

I would ask David Cameron/Nick Clegg to bring back Toonami with Dragonball Z again so we UK DBZ fans can be happy again.

And with that, I wonder if the Netherlands will get DB back again when it airs in the UK. We kind of rely on the UK for our airing of DragonBall.

Enforcing a law that would ban anime in the UK? Considering the kids of this entire generation grew up on it and the kids of the next one have either inspired by shows, there's no way you could ever enforce that here. Considering the industry itself doesn't have the pull it does in America or France, it seems completely unnecessary. Any sane person would realise that these were cartoons that their children should NOT have seen. VHS tapes and DVDs are RATED by the BBFC, it would be in the box itself. You only have yourself to blame, not the content itself.

Either way, there would be an UPROAR if this happened. If "manga" can get banned, comics (since manga does mean comics) would be in danger too. There's no way they could ever succedd in banning comics, espically with, oh I don't know, Alan Moore in the country? They can try but would be completely domminated and crushed because fans will protest these things. And triumph.

EDIT: Oh wait, nevermind. It looks like the original article came out in 2006 so yeah, THEY SURE WERE SUCCESSFUL. The article you reposted is something that did come into effect in 2010 but that's not a law aimed just at anime. Although, in all honesty, that probably does question the first three series ever being released here since at the start of all of those series, a lot of boy penis appears. DBZKai should be completely fine for a UK release however.

You might already know this, but manga can also be used to refer to anime (which in turn can be used to refer to any cartoon of any origin).

Since linkdude20002001 has said it's ok, I'll put up "Super guy in the galaxy" (it's a version of Bojack unbound) which is my favourite because of Gohan, most of the voices aren't as bad as they usually were, apart from Tien's and well all the rest.
EDIT
Since it was released on DVD (Netherlands) I can't do it.
Linkdude is working on getting me a list of the stuff that wasn't released on DVD.
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force

If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure :)

If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me :)
