My guess is that FUNi needed to create more stock of these seasons and decided to just to combine both of the seasons.NekoMajinX wrote:Last Friday, I bought a Dragonball Z box set that came with not one, but two seasons; it was two of the widescreen orange bricks packed together. I was surprised, considering they started releasing the Dragon Boxes a while back. You would think that with those coming out, they wouldn't deal with the orange bricks anymore. I saw one that had, of course, seasons 1 and 2, and one with seasons 3 and 4, but none beyond that yet.

I got Dragon Box Vol. 1 at $40 last night at Suncoast, and it was a good deal too since it was used.

Best Buy has Dragon Box Z sets 2 and 3 for $23 each this weekend. I would have gotten them if 1 were included in the sale, but that's still around $60.
Still, it's very, very tempting.

I bought the movie 12/13 double feature and the complete Viz manga collection earlier this week. It shipped right before I found out that the VizBigs had color.

In person or online? I think with the amount of care and detail that went into those, you would be able to tell in person. No idea about in photos though.
Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
So far all the "fake Dragon boxes" look nothing like the real ones at all, the closest they've got at the moment that I have seen is some blue packaging that looks like none of the dragon boxes, it's more of a flat pack box with writing in English saying "Japanese original with English subtitles"
The Dragon boxes didn't have English subs.

Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force
If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure
If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me

If anyone can tell if its official or not I'd be grateful and if its not official point me in the dirrection of an offical one.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
I don't think thats an official figure. On the real figure the base is a little bit different, and on the real figure the starting bid wouldn't be 0.99 as the figure is pretty rare.Sshadow5001 wrote:I'm hoping to own this soon, however I am not sure if it is official

EDIT:
This is how it should look like:

Also the seller is located in China, which could be an indication that the figure is a bootleg.
Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
There are no bootlegs that resemble the Dragon Boxes in any way. There are some DB bootlegs that use Dragon Box logos and artwork but you'll know because it's not the big red box. Also, if it's Japanese with English and Chinese subtitles stay away... far away...
