Uh, instead of telling people to look for it, why don't you just put a link in here since the main topic of this thread is to pretty much create awareness of the DBZ Kai Vol 2. trailer.Choice195 wrote:I am currently uploading the "Dragonball Z Kai - Part Two Trailer" on Youtube, be on the lookout if its finished uploading.

Music is a little loud, but I really liked the trailer. It was intense! FUNimation sure knows how to get you pumped! Good highlights, nice reel overall. I couldn't be happier about their treatment of the series.

Cool trailer I guess, but, just nitpicking here, "Season 1 Part 2"?
Are people going to call ALL of Kai Season 1?

Re: Dragonball Z Kai - Season One Part Two Trailer
Can't speak for the DVD though I imagine it's the same, but on the first Blu-Ray it just says "Part One". There's nothing saying "Season One" on it anywhere. It's probably just an inconsistency with YouTube trailer-naming since most of FUNi's other DB products are marketed as seasons. The Time Traveller wrote:Cool trailer I guess, but, just nitpicking here, "Season 1 Part 2"?

Re: Dragonball Z Kai - Season One Part Two Trailer
It said "Season 1 - Part 1" here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcmc5uvDgfA&feature=fvst
So i just went along with it and thought i'd name the video "Season 1 Part 2".

Re: Dragonball Z Kai - Season One Part Two Trailer
okay the narrators voice is a little bit on the background or the music is too loud.
the music from second 9 till second 19 is really bad maybe because of the voice? but then super rock music ...
i like funimations americanized background musics !
but part 2 will be in my opinion a "filler" part. so i am waiting for part 3 and 4.

The word "KAI" means in the old North Germanic language Frisian "Kämpfer engl. Fighter" respectively "Krieger engl. Warrior"!
Re: Dragonball Z Kai - Season One Part Two Trailer
Okay, seriously. I like rock music. I like very loud rock music, even abrasive and experimental rock music that many people tell me they are unable to listen to.
BUT JESUS CHRIST TURN THAT SHIT DOWN. Not only does it completely drown out the voices, but there's no rhyme or reason to it whatsoever! Is this song in any specific key? It's all over the place. I can't tell what the bass guitar is doing because it's more distorted than Metallica's Death Magnetic, and then there's like three guitar tracks that all sound like they're from completely different songs.
[/rant]
Now I'd comment on the voices, but since I can barely hear them... all I can say is, that part with Vegeta throwing the blast and getting kicked in the face seemed a little off. I haven't seen the TV version of this episode, is that how it really is, or is it another case of dialogue being spliced over unrelated footage like in the first trailer?
Also, Gohan's voice was kind of obnoxious in the "YOU WANNA FIGHT!?" part, which is weird because I haven't had any problems with it up until now.

Oh, wow! You're right! I never noticed that! Hopefully this inconsistency will be fixed sooner or later.obiwan23s wrote:Can't speak for the DVD though I imagine it's the same, but on the first Blu-Ray it just says "Part One". Trailer was awesome and it gave me nostalgia of Toonami, can't wait to get this.
And yeah, the music was a tad loud.

I think after this, it would be Season Two Part One.Kendamu wrote:Oh, wow! You're right! I never noticed that! Re: Dragonball Z Kai - Season One Part Two Trailer
Well I just looked at my DBZ Kai DVD and all it says is part one... But if Kai is going to run around 130 or so eps and that we get 13 episodes per Dvd set then we will more than likey have 9 or more dvd sets

They'll pobably just use Season 1 Part whatever until who ever posts the trailer realises there's no "Season" on the sets and only "Parts".Goku100xKamehameha wrote: I think after this, it would be Season Two Part One.
Though what if they don't realise and the start of the Boo Arc is labled as "Season 1 Part 8" or what ever.

And FUNi's handling of labeling the arcs in that series is far more retarded than "S1P1."Goku100xKamehameha wrote:I think it's just like One Piece.

Doesn't resemble the first trailer, but ohs well
I thought it was fake at first with the person putting together shots from what aired on Nick Toons, primarily due to the music/voice volume.
Anyway, wish they kept the music from the first trailer. I liked that.

Re: Dragonball Z Kai - Season One Part Two Trailer
It's clear that a lot of these companies don't actually look at things from a consumer perspective, and just go from the "Yeah man, just keep counting up the seasons!"
Ignoring my thoughts on "seasons" (things like FUNimation retconning what a "season" was from their TV broadcast versus the orange brick definitions, not lining up with what the Japanese may call "seasons" in their home releases)...
Have they ever put their own releases on a shelf and tried to figure out what order they go in? I mean, at least in One Piece's case there are numbers that can be arranged... but for frak's sake, I have things like Trigun which don't have volume numbers on them *at all*... and I'm pretty sure the episode numbers are wrong on at least one volume...
One of the reasons I made the "DVD Guide" in the first place was so I could organize all the stupid DBZ single DVDs that came released out-of-order and without volume numbers on them.
Sure, those Trigun and old DBZ discs are very old examples, but I'm sure we could find a few modern equivalents. I totally "get" that when you're working in marketing you have a main task of "branding" and identity, but these folks really need to run their final ideas past some normal people to get these obvious things taken care of.

Re: Dragonball Z Kai - Season One Part Two Trailer
I don't think you quite get what I'm saying, the Kai DVDs don't say SEASON, which means it's just going to be Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, etc, until the end, meaning unless someone notices, ALL of Kai, Saiyan arc to Boo, is going to be labelled as "Dragon Ball Z Kai Season 1".Goku100xKamehameha wrote:I think it's just like One Piece.
