Or he memorized a famous quote, either one. I'm not saying one or or another but you can't really assume he's some avid anime fan because he put in a famous quote. I know many Shakespeare quotes but I'm not an avid Shakespeare enthusiast.

I'm not saying he doesn't watch anime either, I'm just saying there is absolutely zero evidence he "knows his anime" from these songs. Damn dude. You really hate him. Well, evidently he knows something about anime if A) Two songs (Anime and Goku) and B) A mixtape called Death Note with instrumentals reminiscent of the anime. To answer your question, the quote was used cleverly because he used as a reference to a controversial anime. "There is no such thing as good or evil only perception and opinion. Woooooooooow. I've heard of the guy, but I've never actually heard one of his songs before. Is this what's considered "music" these days? Those two songs were literally the two worst songs I've ever heard in my life. His Death Note rip-off song is awful, too. I like how any anime he's ever mentioned could be seen on Cartoon Network at some point...
