List of the episodes and the back have an explanation about the transfer.
Thanks. I was hoping for a Dragon Book-style thing, but oh well.

Well, the DragonBall sets don't have this, but everything else you said was right.

Are they properly captured, Tanook? Are these straight from the DVD no interference or compression?

Also, I heard a rumor that this set is structured or encoded differently than the last four, so it's not as easy to rip. Can you confirm or debunk this rumor?

It uses the same masters as the singles, just slightly DVNR'd and Progressive.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Yes. These are properly captured.

Well, from my own experience these sets, DragonBall Z Kai and the DragonBoxes are a bitch to rip. The way they set it up is very confusing if you're looking for one little scene in an episode. Basically, without going into too much detail, you would find what you think is the episode you want but then it's actually a mix of other episodes as well. When it plays in a DVD player it's fine, everything plays in order, it's just when you're ripping it.

They're on YouTube:

Actually, it was the second ending that was used exclusively in the FUNi products.

What needs to be shared is the missing FIRST ending!

Oh, my bad. The first and second ones are pretty similar, though.

Ah, I thought it was just me. I had the same issue trying to rip the footage from an episode on my third Dragon Box...

That's just because you guys are still using DVD Decrypter. That program has been out of development for a long time and the new DVDs are incompatible indefinitely. You'll have to find some new software. I haven't been able to find an efficient free alternative.

These screen-caps do look pretty saturated, is the picture quality worse compared to the previous seasons, or is it just how you captured them?

I'm waiting for my set to arrive, Axelmusic shipped it last week so I'm expecting it in the mail today! :) Can't wait to have it, so I can finally start collecting the Dragon Boxes

If you want free programs use "ripit4me" "dvddecryptor" "dvd shrink" open ripit4me, then let it do the rest for you, it will use other programs when they are needed.
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force

If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure :)

If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me :)

Now that funi have completed their version of the remastered sets, they can do the specials and movies.

Then they will most likely release Dragon Box GT then Dragonball Box.

Dragon Ball Movie One is coming out in December, I believe. Hopefully with a new dub. Hopefully with Stephanie Nadolny as Goku. 8)

It better. If I have to hear anymore Colleen Clinkenbeard as DBZ characters I'm going to break stuff.

B-but...it...is a Dragon Ball movie, not Dragon Ball Z. :p

I'd like to see Clinkenbeard and Rial voice Gokû and Bulma in The Legend of ShenLong...

Nadolny was replaced in the few db scenes that were shown in kai, she's just gone..and from fan reaction she's not coming back.

Well, I certainly hope you are wrong. I still stand by the belief that a few scenes with little to no spoken dialog make it unnecessary to bring in an actress not already on the payroll. But an entire movie based on a series with a cast that's been around for over 10 years, and played on TV in its entirety with the same cast, is a different situation.

Me three. Stephaine Nadolny is English Kid Gokū.
