Saiyan Babies & Planet Vegeta

Post by Ultimate Saiyan Trunks » Fri May 20, 2005 2:16 pm

OK, I have been wondering about something. King Kai states that Planet Vegeta had atleast 10x gravity on their planet. So how do Saiyan babies not get crushed?

Because even though its 10x normal gravity to humans, its normal gravity to saiyajins. The babies are adapted to it.
On hiatus.

But a Saiyan Baby only has a Power Level of 2. The Frmer with shotgun has a PL of 5......

Before EX gets to you, its Saiyans. Saiyan's would mean it was a person named Saiyan.

Which means Goku on Earth probably had a PL of 20 and then got weaker from years of not struggling to stay alive.

A Saiyan baby's power level was never mentioned in the manga.

2 was Goku's power level not the average Saiyan baby's power level. Goku was looked at as a lower class warrior; his power even disgusted Bardock.

It still sounds weird, I mean Goku at a PL of 334 (with weights) had trouble walking, no matter what, a Saiyan baby would be crushed.

I don't think that your power level has much to do with being adapted to a certain type of gravity. And who's not to say that perhaps Saiyans have extra-tough bodies, even if not powerful at that age.

And anyway, who cares? It's Dragon Ball. It's a cartoon. Neither seem to have much logic anyway.

Baby Goku wasn't exactly walking around the Planet to feel the full effect of gravity unlike the grown up Goku on King Kai's Planet . All baby Goku did was lie in his cot crying a lot, possibly because the gravity bothered him.

I think because all Saiyans were born there, without doubt they have evolved with tougher bodies that can withstand heavy Gravity. Also, don't forget Goku was wearing weights on King Kai's planet when he first arrived, when he took them off he had a lot less trouble moving.

I feel ya. Don't read too much into it.

Look at it like this. Earth's gravity is 1/10 the gravity of Planet Vegeta. That's not heavy gravity to them, that's their normal gravity.

If that is the case, then why did Gohan have trouble in the RoSaT, where the gravity can fluctuate?

I mean, if Saiyan babies have evolved to withstand the 10x gravity of their home planet from birth, then this should ring true for Gohan and especially Goku, who spent some time in the RoSat when he was younger, but came out early due to the extremes.

If anything, Gohan and Trunks should be more adaptive to change, since they are half breeds. Strangely enough, you never see Vegeta having too much trouble with gravity, aside from the training to become a SSJ.

If you really want to justify it...
He was carried and born on earth. Its been theorised that a persons bone and muscle structure will change over time if they are constantly exposed to a higher/lower gravity to earth normal. They experienced some of this with astronauts. Therefore Gohan's body would have developed in the womb to withstand earth's gravity, similarly, Saiyans bodies would do the same.

Or it could be that even with a naturally strengthened body structure, Son Goku and Gohan weren't accustomed to that weight, and thus, had difficulty adjusting. That's pretty logical.

It's just that they weren't used to it, they could take it, but they first had to feel comfortable with it. And you can't say Goku got a lot of familiarisation by lying in his crib weeping all the time.

Saiyan babies feel the gravity as they are beginning to take form and able to get used to it, they experience the extra gravity even before they first take in air.
