That interview with Ryo Mito (awesome guy) confirmed no DB or DBGT characters. I am actually happy about this, is that weird? I think that by the third game, there's a chance we could have a full roster of DBZ characters. I have a feeling the rest of the characters for this game will be the rest from Sparking! METEOR. Dabura, King Cold, Ultimate Gohan, Janemba, Future Gohan, Super Saiyajin Future Gohan, Nail, Paikuhan, Slug, Tullece, Seripa, Bojack 1, Bojack 2, Zangya, Coola, Final-Form Coola, #13, Super #13, Cyborg Freeza. That's 19. Holy shit, I'm think I'm on to summat. Yeah, they said six "new" characters, but it was stated that there would be over 20 new characters. If you remember, they said there would be more 150 characters for Sparking! METEOR, but we got 162.

Hopefully in Raging Blast 3, they'll add giant characters, that would seal it. Not to mention some more henchmen as well.

I just don't understand why they didn't just put in all the characters that made tenkaichi 3, then look to add a few new ones.

Yeah, but a lot of the GT characters are ridiculously overpowered anyway, especially Gogeta, so in some ways their absense is a good thing.

Well I won't skip it as such, but I'll wait for it to come down in price, since in my opinion... yes it (will have?) things (in it?) that are better than Tenkaichi 3, just like Raging Blast 1 (which took me a while to notice), but it just doesn't feel as complete as Tenkaichi 3.

But too bad it's at the expense of Dragon Ball. It's a shame these two series get pushed together so much in favor of Z. GT is terrible, but Dragon Ball is easily the best out of all three anime series.

I dunno, I always thought the characters from Dragon Ball were really out of place in the Sparking! series. Their fighting style is much more grounded/solid martial arts than the insane flying and blasting antics of the Z cast. The characters from GT fit into the whole "fighting in the air" style much more.

I'm surprised the original cast haven't gotten their own traditional fighter yet, ala-Super DBZ.

I blame the North American audience. Here in the States, Dragon Ball is very popular, nut nowhere near as popular as Z. The convoluted release of the series and lack of characters with power levels of over 9000 are probably the reasons. The NA audience is an important factor for the games. Dragon Ball Z sells much better (some of the games have made the top 5 bestselling list for the month in which released), so they just keep pumping out games featuring spiky golden hair and characters that have maximum power. That being said, I'd like to see a Dragon Ball fighter developed as a downloadable arcade style fighter. It would probably be the best way for Namco Bandai to test the waters with a pre Z fighter without spending much money. I wanna play as Shen, dammit!

Tenshinhan with four arms, Yamcha pre-scars +sword, Baby Piccolo, Giant Piccolo, Lunch +transformation, Chi-Chi, Giran, Ranfan, Panput, Staff Sgt. Black, Kami, Popo, Kid Krillin, Colonel Silver, Ninja Murisaki, Ox King, Dracula Man, Buyon... I could go on all day. The possibilities are endless.

It seems like RB2 will be as tight and solid as BT3 was (in terms of gameplay and characters, but in this game's case, just DBZ) and and it might possibly come out on top.

Yes but it lends credibility to GT to have them fighting along side characters from the real, good, characters.

For that matter, we don't need every movie character either.

I enjoyed having DB characters in Meteor (They fit in just as well as Mr. Satan), but I agree that they would have held back RB2. My issue with them is more of a roster thing than a gameplay one, though. With the size of the roster, I'd rather see a more focused game thoroughly covering the Z series, movies, and specials.
