Same. Even with Raging Blast, the models that Spike makes are just too awkward. I can't stand playing as Krillin because his head is so disproportional. I also can't stand the hands, the finger tips are squares and that drives me nuts. Dimps seems to have captured Toriyama's style more(well, Super DBZ did it best but I'm comparing Dimps to Spike in this case). The only complaint I have with the Dimps game is that Teen Gohan had obnoxious ears in Budokai 3.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

You know, I really don't get all the Dragon Rush/Hyper Mode complaints. Are you guys really that bad at using the computer's Hyper Mode activations against it? Dragon Rush is one of the things I miss in Infinite World. And Hyper Mode activation for usage of ultimates made characters with base lines over their ultimate level (Kid Buu, Omega Shenron, etc) not so cheap. And it's not like it's all that difficult to avoid getting DRed.

It's more that DR is always exactly the same and the computer won't stop trying to use it. There's no fun in curbstomping an AI that constantly burns itself out on failed DRs.

Hyper Mode was also shit because it got in the way of Vegetto and made the Dance fusions even more useless.

Seems like this thread has become Budokai vs Tenkaichi. Good Lord, a repeat of gamefaqs all over again.

Whether Thanos will admit it or not, it was the intent of this thread.

You're too presumptive. It was for sincere inquiry as to why some people prefer the Budokai games. Seriously.
I was Thanos before the MCU existed!

Hyper Mode was also shit because it got in the way of Vegetto and made the Dance fusions even more useless.
It was also terrible because the Dragon Rush required 0 skill ("lol I wonder if the guy next to me picked [] or if he picked O. Oh noes, he picked X!!"), and no human player in their right mind would dare enter it, because no human player in their right mind is ever lame enough to fall into it. You had to enter Hyper Mode and send a big ol' red flag to your opponent if you felt like doing a special, which was basically suicide. Not that it really mattered, since anyone decent at canceling can easily pull off a combo that does damage equal to or greater than a special...but the specials look cool, damn it. You shouldn't have to kill yourself just to attempt maybe...kinda...sorta....getting one off.

The AI in Infinite World was a major improvement, too. The hardest difficulty is still garbage to me, but there's still a helluva lot more challenge in beating them. Fighting Budokai 3's AI was basically like fighting the Sparking NEO AI. There just wasn't any point.

Budokai 3 also had those broken-ass fatigue gauges. By the time you gain 3 bars of ki to teleport, you're already dead.

"U got hit while ur fatigue gauge is in red?! Ur gettin' an infinite combo shoved up ur ass! Game over, dickhead!"

The good is
at dragon rush or ultimates
you never know if you will possibly activate them
it is a challenge for yourself first
and second if your enemy can avoid or stand to them.

Budokai 3 tries giving you some rpg feeling,
that is why those happens to exist and
not just maching over, it is also about
doing the right thing.

I saw this more clearly over at japan
when playing W impact machine.
It is really fun to go over an arcade house there
I recomend. Saddly I had no cards ! (ducks)

I liked Budokai 3 for a while when I first got it. Over time, I just got bored with the repetitive gameplay. I barely pick it up now, but when I do, it does offer some fun.
