Bubbles can fly?

Post by Gamingdevil » Wed May 25, 2005 1:42 am

After Cell blew up, you can see Goku, King Kai, Bubbles and Gregory floating over Snake Way. But if Bubbles could fly why didn't he ever use it to outrun Goku?

Comedic effect? They forgot? They didn't care?

It's kind of like asking why Goku was trying to jump out of Hell, and even had an oni launch him up on a giant seesaw. Then later on in the episode Goku is flying again. Both the scene of Goku jumping, and the scene of Goku flying were used only for comedic effect, and all logic was basically just thrown out the window. But whatever, it's Dragonball, you know how it is...

Filler, no? I'm pretty damn near sure the Ogre episode was definitely filler.
... Maybe later.

Maybe he learned to fly in between the Saiyajin and Cell arcs. It's not like there's a whole lot else to do down there.

Goku can fly by the end of the 23rd Tenka-ichi Budokai. It's how he beats Piccolo... kinda important...

What's being discussed has nothing to do with it being "filler"... such an explanation is becoming FAR too common, these days, when trying to rationalize, defend, or argue against things in the show.

Sometimes you have to take a seat back and go, "Oh yeah... it's DragonBall... that's why."

I wasn't giving that example as a solution to question, I was just saying it's a similar question. It has no real answer, "it's Dragonball, you know how it is..."

Murasaki holds up an American flag when it's been clearly established that there is no "America" in the world of Dragonball. I'm sure you could come up with a dozen reasons why, but in the end you're just taking a stab in the dark.

Another fictional Dragonball country uses the same flag, it doesn't represent America and is just a colourful flag, comedic effect, they forgot, they didn't care, it's the natural contradictory style of Dragonball, whatever...

The 'American' flag is for 'Japan', a small city 150 miles south of East City, population of 28, where everyone sounds like nails on a chalk board when they try to sing (thus making Krillin the best in Japan!). XD

Er, anyway, Bubbles probably just learned. Or, maybe, he's only supposed to run during the tests, not fly? Really, it's less confusing than why Goku didn't just grab King Kai and Bubbles and then teleport back to Earth...

He learned to fly back when he was working part-time for the Wicked Witch of the West.

Oh, and because it's Dragon Ball. ;)

I think Goku had to stay to make sure Cell actually blew up and didn't try anything.

Was Bubbles not seen flying alongside Kaiou-sama and Son Gokuu in the manga?

I thought it was simply because he had died, so he was able to just fly around to get around all the worlds. Extra priveleges for being a god's pet/friend or something.

I think it's cause he died, as a spirit, he can float.

For drama...

it was used for dramatic effect, with drama there is no logic; and what about Gregory?

Gregory only appears in the anime, so that's why he didn't mention him.

Gregory can fly anyway, he's a grasshopper, he was flying all the time when the gang had to hit him with a hammer.

Yep, that seems to be the most logical explanation.

He is of course a monkey, and monkeys cannot fly, even if it was Kaio sama's monkey, he didn't actually do anything extraordinary, he was just able to withstand the gravity there and move easliy too.

When he died he had the ability to fly.

Who cares anyway?
