10000 zeni - is that much?

10000 zeni - is that much?
I think there are people here that better remember when were zenis used, how much and for what, judging by these, what value one zeni approximately has, in comparison to dollars? For example, #18 seemed to think 20 million zeni is big money, worth losing to Satan at least, a random guy casually pays 10000 zeni just to see a fight between Buu and a martial artist, and so on. By analizing these and other amounts, could you give your suggestion?
