Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Isn't this remake being animated in low resolution, though? To have something in LQ on PS3... is just bleh.
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Shame, I was kind of looking forward to the OVA remake..

Is that sarcasm? Because in the "Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku Remake" thread, you said that you didn't have any interest in it.Rory wrote:Shame, I was kind of looking forward to the OVA remake..
I think the reason that you're saying this is because the remake is appearing in Raging Blast 2.

I'm not sure but I think they will re-animated the OVA from 0

Yes, that is exactly it.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:I think the reason that you're saying this is because the remake is appearing in Raging Blast 2.

So, it's not a remake of the game itself after all, but just the OVA.
Well, there's egg on my face. At least I got the OVA part right.
And yes, they are re-doing the animation practically from scratch, unlike with Kai. Of that I can assure you.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
But is it being animated in High-Definition? I would assume so, seeing as how it's a special feature on a Blu-ray and 360 disc...

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
I really hope there is some pre-order bonus DVD or Blu ray with this feature on it. I mean, I'm gonna buy this game now anyway because of this but, I really want it on some video format, not in a video game.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
I think it means you don't have to unlock it, so right when you get the game you can watch it. I'm fairly confident they wouldn't have a 30 minute long opening sequence for a game and that they'll have a new intro.Innagadadavida wrote:Does anybody else find it a little strange that the scan claims the "30-minute anime" will play as the opening sequence? That's kind of disappointing, y'know? Like, why couldn't we have the video as a "Special Feature" or "2-Disc Special Edition" and then also a brand new animated intro as well.
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
That's what Wasted Wisher thought. Which is why everyone assumed that it was for a portable system.sangofe wrote:Isn't this remake being animated in low resolution, though? To have something in LQ on PS3... is just bleh.
He may have been mistaken on that detail though. I highly doubt they'd use low resolution video on the PS3/360. And personally I'd be disspointed if it was less than 1080p on the PS3 version.
Wasted Wisher wrote:According to my co-worker, he said the frame size for the animation was rather small, so it will most likely come out for a portable game system. (Maybe this is the Dragonball game slotted for the 3DS?) Other than that, I have no idea as to how the game is going to look like.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
The only thing I can think of is maybe its not going to be full screen or something like that; and have something else going on at the same time or something around the frame to warrant it being so small; BUT if they were going to dive in 100% on this, they SHOULD have made it regular size. I'm interested to see what moves Frieza has now. Did any of the other OVA villians get new moves?
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Well, it's better than nothing I guess. Can you confirm any more key details (1080p? Key animator?)Wasted Wisher wrote:So, it's not a remake of the game itself after all, but just the OVA.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
It's awesome to see Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans storyline is going to be in the game. I can't wait to see how it will turn out.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
I don't know about that. The new animation in Raging Blast 2 is only supposed to be about 30 minutes long and the first half of the original Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans is about 30 minutes long. Hatchihyakku didn't appear until the very end of the second half. My guess is Raging Blast 3 will contain new animation for the second half of the OVA.Thanos wrote: Yes, that is indeed Dr. Raichi! I'd say that pretty much confirms Hachihyaku.![]()
He could still be playable, but I wouldn't say it is a given.

Y'know, I wonder what they're going to do about the music for The Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans...

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
I would rather play as those than Babidi or Arale.
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
I wasn't planning on getting this game. I don't even have a PS3 or and Xbox 360. But now I'm tempted to get one just because of the OVA... I guess I'll just have to pray that a few hundred bucks drops from the sky. Or they release it on DVD or Blu-Ray as well. I'd rather not get a game I'm not going to play just because of some new Dragon Ball animation.
