Lost in Thought: I do not ENTIRELY agree with you; while it's true that most Japanese companies use pin-up girls and desirable males, Namco goes a bit too far. However, many american companies do that as well, like the creators of Bloodrayne, or Snowblind studios (all Dark Alliance characters are physically perfect).

Yes, sex-appeal sells, and I find that logical. But it's one thing to have a beautiful character in a game, and another to make him / her walk with his / her ass showing off in front of the camera without any reason (Uzuki in Xenosaga intro for example)

And my problem was never with Soul Calibur 2's failure of gameplay, but rather the style of the characters.

I understand that I am becoming a bit too serious when criticising a game, and I respect all of you guys opinions, so I state that I do not wish to insult anyone's taste.

Xyex: I do not like Enix very much, because they have the tendency to botch nearly any franchise they get their hands on.

Grandia 2 (Game Arts) was excellent; Grandia Xtreme (Game Arts + Enix) was the worst rpg I've ever played.

FFX (Square) was my second favourite FF game; FFX-2 (Square-Enix) is a parody of it's predessesor.

However, I am planning on giving Square Enix a last chance (by buying Star Ocean 3), and in Monolith too (by buying Baten Kaitos). If these two games end up to be pieces of cup, I'll stop buying all Enix-Monolith related titles.

And no, I'm not buying Soul Calibur 3 (but who gives a damn, right Namco?)
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

Too much "boobage" in games (and other media, such as comics, though they seem to ease up a bit) does annoy me, but in the context of the discussion, I think it can only benefit DBZ and other anime games. I mean it's licenced property, I know that sex sells, but giving Videl gigantic breasts wouldn't be a good move even from economical point of view, because she wouldn't be the character the fans grew accustomed to (and as for the guys, I don't think giving them better macho factor would be even possible, I mean with those muscles...).
It's party time, Ginyu style!
