GT fights you wish were expanded on.

Yep, we're back on GT. The topic of missed opportunities and disappointments.

But I think there was definite potential for some of the fights, and I'd like to discuss which ones would have been cool is built on, done differently, etc.

Piccolo vs. Baby: All right, so it was never really a fight, so much as Piccolo getting blasted to heck. But I feel it would have been great to see something like Piccolo taking on Baby Trunks and Goten at once or something.... giving Piccolo one last great fight.

Uub vs. Baby: So, we get Uub merging with Buu, we're psyched for him to face Baby in battle, instead we get a single beam struggle. With a power up that huge, we could have seen a pretty good match, with Uub showing us why he was suited to be Goku's successor.

Goku vs. Cell/Freeza: I know.... old enemies back from the dead is a redundant storyline, but I would still really like to see a hugley powered up Cell and Freeza taking on the world again. Maybe not with Goku though, since taking on SSJ4 is probably a bit hopeful, but down taking on the likes of Goten, Trunks and Uub could have been cool.

I would have loved a big fight with Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Uub, Buu, Piccolo vs. Seven Shenron Dragons. Would have been interesting to see fusions too

Yeah, it's like I said in another thread just then, he was a pretty cool vaillain, and it's a shame he went out like a punk.

I'd have liked a longer Goku vs Super #17 fight.
I don't think #17 absorbing Goku's ki went on long enough, I feel they really could've hammered me over the head more with that message if they'd have focused another 5-10 minutes on it.

Also, my main problem with the Cell/Freeza fight is that they were turned into gag characters who were play things for base kid Goku.... it just seemed wrong to have two of the most memorable villains ever being reduced to that.

Goku vs. Ledgic. This battle was FAR too short, IMO. Ledgic seemed like a cool guy. He knew somehow that Goku was a Saiyan, and at the end of the battle, they said they'd meet again and fight more someday. I want to see that...

Goku vs Ledgic was the best fight, followed by ssj4 Goku vs Golden Ape Baby. I wish all the fights were as long and hand to hand focused as DBZ. Especially Uub vs Baby, Gohan vs Baby Goten, and the final battle with Omega.

Vegeta vs. Super Android 17, I personally think that was an oppurtunity for Vegeta to turn SSJ3 for the first time while Goku stays stuck in hell (or maybe just manages to get out after the fight).

Vegeta vs. Nappa.

It wasn't much of a fight, but they should have made that scene atleast a little bit longer. A little conversation between the two, and Vegeta showing his super saiyan form or something like that.
Now it was Vegeta saying hi, and blasting Nappa away. (10 seconds max.)

I also think it would have been cool to see SSJ4 Goku pound on Baby more, before he became Oozaru. Oh and where was Raditz when everyone came from hell?

Cell and Frieza should have been able to best Goku. Well at least Cell. Cell fighting equal against SSJ3 Goku would have made GT enjoyable for me, but no. They created a shitty fight that added to the list of GT plot holes.

I would have loved to see the triumphant return of the Great Saiyaman as he takes on General Rildo. Also, considering how important Gohan was to DBZ, it would've been nice for him to defeat Rildo on his own instead of getting him arm "metalitized."

It wasn't a plot hole. Obviously a Goku that's trained non stop for 27 years will be inconceivably stronger than a Cell that sat on his ass in HFIL. If Pikkon could pwn Cell and kick Goku's ass then so can 27 years of training- powered Goku.

But one would think that Cell and Freeza didn't just lounge around in Hell all that time...it's Hell. If anything would make you tougher, I'd think 27 years in Hell would.

I don't know about elongating or expanding any fights, but dammit I wish Goku never would've said he didn't want help from a fused Goten and Trunks. Didn't Toei realize that new Gotenks would've racked in tons of merchandise cash?

Even without training, the tortures of Hell would have toughened them up to more than at least a base kid Goku. Still, I doubt they would just sit around bored for all the time. They had to do something in all their time there. Who knows? Maybe they started off hating each other, and fought each other all the time...until eventually they ended up getting stronger and matching each other. Then just decided fighting was a waste of time...and THEN got arrogant and stopped training. 27 years is a long time...a lot could have happened.
