Didn't Freeza and Cell even state that they had grown stronger?

And heck, even if they hadn't, there would be no way Goku could have reached close to the power of a SSJ2 in base.

Base Goku was stronger than a foe who boasted strength superior to Majin Buu's. And this was only 19 episodes into the series.

Goku vs. Ledgic, and some of the Dragon base form fights were ridiculously short. Would've been cool to see a bit more of Baby's build up to "perfection" (longer fights with more strugling from the "GT fighters").

The bad thing about GT, however, is that it's fights often lacked satisfactory conclusiveness.

But it just...ended with a knockout and left unresolved. Hell, it didnt resolve ANYTHING! The rivalry? No, fusion to Vegetto did that. Vegeta's hatred of Goku? No it just made that worse by Goku hiding his power from him. The entire fight only happened to fuck over Toriyama's original plan of Majin Piccolo and give the fans what they wanted. A dull uninspired boring, out of character, technique-less light show.

Wasn't it confirmed that originally Piccolo was supposed to go Majin but the fans wanted Vegeta to fight Goku? Since Piccolo is Toriyama's favourite, it makes sense.
