SSJ2 Goku vs Kid Buu? The way it's done in the anime, i don't think they can cut it out (would look weird seeing Goku next to Vegeta, then suddenly on a mountain with everything half destroyed).

If they do, I will be sad. It's my favourite filler battle.

They've kept a lot of filler in Kai, and not all of it was good.
Goku SS2 vs Pure Boo was a fantastic filler battle (even if it made no sense), I wouldn't mind seeing it re-animated.

If I had to take a guess... I'd say yes, they'll keep it.

Exactly. There's a lot going on as part of that battle that can't be easily cut out. Not to mention the changes in the landscape it brings. If they cut out the fight, Goku and Boo would be standing on a grassy plain, and then suddenly in a canyon when Goku goes up to SSj3.

They will probably keep it. Just like Goku vs. Buutenks, Goku & Vegeta vs. Buuhan and Goku & Vegeta powering-up to attract Buu into the Kaioshin Realm, since they can't be cut without a moment of "WTF!" by whom is watching.

That filler made no sense and wasted a ton of time.

Edit: In fact now I think about it, the Majin Buu arc was full of filler and time wasting. Can't wait to see them cut it down.

I don't think I'd mind losing that one episode for Kai if only because the artwork was really bad in it. It wasn't triangle-guy, but it wasn't anything to write home about. If I remember correctly the following episode where he went ssj had nice artwork.

Ah. Well, I agree that it was bad, it was done by Last House, whose art had overall become possibly the worst by that point. In later Z, they could never draw perspective shots correctly.

I guarantee it won't be cut, it alters the landscape far too much like Kaboom said and it doesn't make sense if they skip it.

Now something like the Ginyu-Bulma filler being retained makes absolutely no sense, it could have been easily skipped around with no discrepancies. They probably wanted to give Ginyu the spotlight one more time.

The simplest, shortest answer: there were several teams of animation studios working on the show and they would have the different studios come in for different episodes. Some were better than others, and some improved over time and some degraded over time.

I was thinking the other day... They'll have to keep the Mr. Satan's deciples filler at the beginning of the cell games. That sucks. I really hated those characters.

I really hope they cut the Mr.Satan's pupils scene drastically. It was just that one Mr.Satan Vs. Cell gag repeated over and over and over and over again. It was dragged out far longer then it needed to be.

Kurama's VA also voices Tien in the DBZ and Kai dubs <_<

But I think it might just be, lol.

I hope they keep the fillers to a minimum, but that will be a hard one to avoid, those guys stay around for a while.
