Agreed. And the game being called "Spike", really didn't help it's credibility either.LeprikanGT wrote:I always roll with the 'link or it didnt happen' although in the case of DBZ games, I like seeing a pic or a video before I believe something. A super vague listing from Europe doesn't really do anything for me.

Aren't we like 5 weeks away? There's NO way thats a brand new game.
Re: Dragon Ball Z Spike
Game retailers often put placeholder dates in for games that don't have an official release date. Typically if a site says a game comes out on the first of the month it's a placeholder.LeprikanGT wrote:Aren't we like 5 weeks away? There's NO way thats a brand new game.

Usually on Play.com, release dates are usually given to announed or not announced yet games, but it's always pushed back once it comes close to the estimated release date (which is what I'm expecting to happen).
Wasn't Dragon Ball : Revenge of King Piccolo for the Wii put on Play.com's listings before it was even announced? I also remember it having a release date that was supposed to be released in a couple of weeks, at the time.

Ok.....I know youre like right through the noob door but I have to ask.....what do you have against the Rb series? This is the 2nd of 2 posts I've seen you make downing the recent games.Bardo117 wrote:It better not be an awesome new game for the Wii...Because the game's they're making for the PS3/360 suck ass.
Revenge of King Piccolo wasn't exactly a gem on the Wii.

Contradictory from the get-go.

Where you think you are doing a great job or a terrible job...which you don't know because it hasnt even SHIPPED yet, they ARE giving the game an incredible ammount of attention not yet seen with a DragonBall game.
And I'd still like figuring out what this game was.

Neh, the guy is right though. Spike has NEVER done a good job. So they increased the graphics a bit, lol? There isn't even a goddamn story mode. It's just an arcade mode. Real like anime cut-scenes? Budokai 1 is still number one at that. Also, they always have to decrease the amount of characters back to zero when a new trilogy starts.
Spike is all about money. They make games, but they lack quality.

Developers need to take Budokai 1 cut scenes and remix them with the opening animation for Raging Blast 2....and I think everyone would be fine.

Lol, wut. Funny everyone was complaining about having one before they removed it in RB2. Can't make everyone happy.CrimsonSparrow wrote:Neh, the guy is right though. Spike has NEVER done a good job. I thank the Almighty Lord every day that this next game won't have a story mode. And I'm an atheist.

Although I DO think calling Galaxy mode 'arcade mode' makes it sound cheap and trashy...you can't make a blanket statement like "Spike has NEVER done a good job." Obviously they are doing something right to stay in business.

Revenge Of King Piccolo was pretty exiting and "New", unlike the games we're getting on the Ps3/360. Maybe they should port over those Wii games, because they're much better.Thanos wrote:...Especially when you haven't even played the goddamn game.LeprikanGT wrote:Ok.....I know youre like right through the noob door but I have to ask.....what do you have against the Rb series? And to LeprikanGT, I really don't like the RB series because it's like a HD version of BT. But with LESS cool things, and the same physics engine, same fighting engine, and even LESS characters. lol I do admit I might buy Raging Blast 2, depending on how I like the Demo.

There is a distinct difference in the style of RB1 compared to the style of RB2. Whether this difference is an improvement or not, is obviously your opinion. Personally, I think it is.CrimsonSparrow wrote: So they increased the graphics a bit, lol?.
I'd rather something fresh, than the same washed out story mode found in previous games.CrimsonSparrow wrote: There isn't even a goddamn story mode.
Budokai 1 had gorgeous anime-styled cutscenes, because of the amount of development time it got. Notice how Budokai 2 didn't have similar cutscenes?CrimsonSparrow wrote: Real like anime cut-scenes? Budokai 1 is still number one at that.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Spike
The same, old, tired arguments about what each individual finds as "value" in a new game is fine and dandy when you're talking about a game that exists. So far, there is nothing to suggest that any game called "Spike" is coming out, so these arguments about completely unrelated games ranging anywhere from one to eight years ago seems a bit silly.
