Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
Gt appreciation time! What were some of the best moments in the otherwise hated sequel to DBZ?

Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
I think that the entire thing had potential. I enjoyed fights between Super 17 and Goku, "Omega Shenron" (as his Japanese name escapes me at the moment) vs. Goku, Vegeta vs. Gohan, Goten vs. Gohan. I mean there were a lot of good things in there. The issue was that they were rushed and there was little "pay off" in terms of excitement. I mean they had legendary characters to work with, and somehow nothing was too exciting. However, I will say that Super Saiyan 4 Goku was the man. Loved that transformation. Also liked how Pilaf, Shuu, and Mai were brought back. It's always nice to go back and go, "Wow! I forgot they were even around!"

I think that episode 35 of GT was incredibly well-executed, and one of the better episodes of the entire franchise (between Z and GT).

Definately the battle with Ii Shinron and the ending to the series as a whole. There were other stand-out moments along the way, but the ending is where GT really shined.

Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
I really liked the Bebi arc; he was a good villian. The concept of him being the vessel of the Tuffle race (similar to Brainiac from the DCAU) was kind of cool. It was interesting how he turned the tables by enslaving all of Earth, taking over his nemesis Vegeta, and making Goku the odd man out when he returned from space. In a warped way, Goku was the villian and Bebi was protecting his planet from him. A sort of role reversal of the Saiyan arc in it's own way.
Bebi took on the role of anti Goku (so to speak) with the support of the whole planet (although they were enslaved). Goku's and Vegeta's kids and wife rallied behind him, and he even had his own version of the Spirit Bomb. Even though this arc could have been done better, it was refreshing to see a come so close to winning. It's a shame Vegeta could not have somehow kept the “Bebei Vegeta” look as a new power up (a an alternate to SSJ3).
Best fight definately goes to the Para Para Bros.

Episodes 1 to 23. Super fun, cool and action-packed.
That is all.

That is all.
Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
Pretty much the Baby arc. Super 17's arc was awfully played and the last arc was great only because of the surprise that each Shenron holded. Last but not least, the ending was great but unexpected. It was full of nostalgia and I really liked that.

The one episode where Goku has just reached Super Saiyan 4, and proceeds to mercilessly wail on Baby-Vegeta. Not only was it well-animated, but the entire thing was so impactfully handled. You really got a feeling for how awesome Super Saiyan 4 is, before later episodes ended up downplaying it.

My favorite part of GT was the very last episode.
Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
I know the Super 17 arc makes no sense, but I'll be damned if the first episode of the Goku vs Super 17 fight isn't beautifully done and incredibly entertaining.
In the span of a single episode, they're knocked around from a stylish red-skyed city, to the starry arctic, to a forest, to the ocean, etc. It really looks fantastic, and there's a great sense of scale when they're literally blasting each other from separate continents.

Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
I liked the show as a whole. Revenge of a Tuffle was an interesting plot to go with and the Shadow Dragons Saga was a very good idea. It was nice to kind of see what would happen if they were ever used too much. Only complaint is the Super 17 saga. I loved the battle with Super 17, but the villains escaping from Hell was dumb. At least make it so they didn't all die after 2 hits.

Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
One concept that I really enjoyed about GT was that it showed that "life goes on." They had characters carry on. I understand Goten's character change (even though people aren't huge fans of it). There was no need for him to fight, he had gone through school, discovered girls, etc. Gohan looked like he had some office job somewhere. Trunks was head of Capsule Corporation. Vegeta, though still training (like anyone who hits the gym) had also moved on and stopped wearing a jumpsuit and looked like he could fit into society. Basically it was a great way to show that not every character is just driven and sitting on their hands waiting for another fight to break out, especially since they thought after Buu, there wouldn't be any more evil threat. So it makes sense that "life goes on." I was a fan of it being taken to a more urban city area instead of everything being in an empty foresty plane. I even liked Vegeta's hair. I think he looked bad-ass. HATED the old model of it, and HATED the mustache (damn you FUNimation with your "moost-ah-she" bit!!!), but when he had the Gohan hair, I liked it.

Yeah people don't understand this and get all whiny when "Gohan was so badass now he's a fucking nerd". Please.

Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
I really enjoyed just about the entire Goku/Baby-Vegeta conflict, from their first fight on Earth where Goku's completely outclassed, to his return on Tuffle right after Uub's defeat, then the Golden Oozaru revelation really kicked things into action. Even though Vegeta clearly wasn't in his own driver's seat, I felt it was a worthy enough "Goku Vs. Vegeta: Round 3", displaying the most epic scope GT managed to get as Goku and "Vegeta" literally fight across planets. We had all new Super Saiyan forms, the return of adult-Goku with 'em, and that savory aspect where psychologically outwitting your opponent at times becomes just as important as who has the bigger muscles.
Course, like practically everything else in GT, this fight did have a serious flaw. And I'm not talking about SSJ4 Goku's rejection of adult-Gotenks, though that in itself would've been extraordinary! The very moment after Goku's full power is restored, as Trunks and his sons are blasted into unconsciousness, what was already an amazing showdown turns into... a Sparking! video-game demo. Seriously, watch the rest of the battle from that point onward and you'll notice SSJ4 Goku and Golden Oozaru Baby-Vegeta never ONCE throw a physical attack, it's literally all ki-spammage and thus this really watered down the climax to what already had some DBZ-worthy build-up.

Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
My favorite saga in GT would be the Shadow Dragon arc since it was a pretty original idea, and some of the dragons where pretty cool. My personal favorite fight in GT would be the battle between SSj4 Goku, and Super #17 though.

Well, one of my favorite scene is the ED of DB GT and unfortunately it's also the end of the Dragon Ball series.
Too bad GT can't be as popular (But it does as controversial!) as Evangelion considering Evangelion only last 26 episodes but managed to be one of the most legendary Anime.

Re: Favourite GT Scene/Fight/Saga
I honestly loved all the early episodes of the Black Star Dragon Ball arc, and I thought it was interesting and exciting how the crazy cult of Mutchi Mutchi spiraled into the discovery of Baby. To go with that statement, I'll say I thought most the Baby stuff was interesting too. But before Baby ever got destroyed sometime during the fight with Golden Baby Oozaru, my interest was pretty much faded, and Super 17 did nothing to recover it. Shadow Dragons were okay, I wasn't amazed, and I wasn't honestly that crazy about the ending. I didn't have any problems with it, but I was actually perfectly content with the ending to Z. I completely agree with TheGreatness25's statements about how its cool to see "life goes on" but at the same time, that ruined a lot of the "action" for me. If the series could have stayed light hearted and adventurous, it could have been great to me personally, it was just so dishearting to see pretty much everyone was totally useless fighting wise except goku, and vegeta near the end. I can deal with everyone getting weaker, in all reality it makes perfect sense for it to happen in peacetime, but that certainly made the whole fight seem lame to me when I was thinking "they could have done this easily before". But that isn't to say I disagree with power downs, in fact, I'd think it was weird if everyone was at full power. but trying to turn the series into epic scale battles like it used to be in Z, just dosen't work for me. I can totally understand if someone disagrees with me, because honestly my opinion on GT has changed maaaaaany times in the past, but I'm ready to say this is me final answer. Thanks for your time, haha. So yeah, back on topic:
