How can a simple arcade port from a game like 7 games ago have graphics and a story animation like THIS:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g-dHflO ... re=related

Yet we had almost nothing at all for the SS23's in RB1? Its like RB doesn't even care about auras or how/why something happened in a game.

And for the love of Kami, please, PLEASE fix Ginyu's Body Change, I beg of you!

About fixing Taichou's Body Change, I'ts pretty darn unlikely. The closest to a nice Body Change was on Sparking!, where you could switch bodies with any character, but that was about it! A perfect way to do it would be to include a fully customizable moveset where one could put Ginyu's techniques (or any other character's, for that matter) on a different character, with the Body Change technique already doing it automatically...
As for Dragon Ball Kai: Dragon Battlers, I would love to play that game someday!
How many Scouters has Vegeta broken already?

It USED to be correct where Ginyu would switch bodies with WHO he was fighting; not a random Namek saga character and not Goku everytime AND had the ability to use Ki/ Even Burst Limit got it right, although over spammed.

Agreed. I really don't why they bothered to change it. I hope Australia gets the European cover.

What is a simple arcade game port? Are you saying Battlers is?

What I meant was, it still looks like all those arcade games are working off the Budokai 3 models and system. And how much is it to play, like a 'dollar or two'? Put that much serious effort into a $60 game console , and we would be more willing to buy it.

Oh wait.
You missed the point entirely. This is what you're saying: Kid Gohan turns into Teen Gohan when you make him go SSJ. How does that sound?
This is what you're saying: Saiyan Arc Vegeta turns into Cell Arc Vegeta when you make him go SS, and then into Buu Arc Vegeta when you make him go SS2. How does that sound?

Don't you get it? Just because someone doesn't have a timeskip-induced growth spurt doesn't mean they're the same character two arcs later. When was the last time Goku did this? I can assure you it wasn't against Kid Buu.

Super Saiyan Blue is not a creative color.
DBZ Movie 3 told a stronger and more believable "Evil Goku" story in 60 minutes than Dragon Ball Super has in 20 episodes. And it did it with better visuals and score.

Yeah, because every game that consolidated characters totally took the chance to do just the right thing you suggested. That's why we're talking about it like it's happened before.

It's an unnecessarily-complicated measure to take. I'd rather have multiple versions of Vegeta or Goku to represent their different-era appearances than expect game developers (who are -always- looking for a way out of putting forth above-adequate effort) to actually implement a real setup where you can actually equip items to change your fighting stance, charging stance, physical attacks, basic ki blasts, combos. You know, more than just your Super-Attacks and your Ultimate.

As far as Z is concerned, I'm in favor of three Gokus. I'm in favor of three Vegetas. I'm in favor of two Piccolos. Like Gohan, these characters underwent changes in their fighting styles just like Gohan did. Just because they don't grow 18 inches every other story arc doesn't mean they shouldn't be represented at various points in the series. Sure, it bothers some people, but I'm not in favor of sloppy consolidation, and I know that's what every company who has handled the series has done and will continue to do.

You honestly believe that several versions of the same character is less complicated than customisable characters?
I've had a lot of friends ask me why there are so many Goku's in METEOR while playing with some college friends, while when busting out Budokai 3 they simply "get" having the ability to customise characters.
It's a neat addition, this is why Super DBZ is still the best of the best.

Umm...what? Why oh why would you want different versions of the same characters when there's no differences in between their appearances?

You've managed to prove yourself wrong in your own post. That takes some serious skill.

Budokai 3 / IW did that much right, at least barely. The supers / ultimate movepool needed more expansion than they ever bothered to give anyone, though. The post, however, was about the customization of things like fighting stance, basic combos, things that games -haven't- done.

Also... Super Dragonball Z has its place. While Budokai is fighting game about Dragonball Z, Sparking is a Dragonball Z game about fighting.

(The same analogy can be used elsewhere, really, considering how expansive the DB franchise is in video games. Super Saiya Densetsu is an RPG where you play Dragonball Z, Attack of the Saiyans is a Dragonball Z game where you play an RPG.)

Super Dragonball Z was crazy in its customizing, had awesome alternate colors / costumes I liked, and let you give other people moves they never had from other character. I'd say it were even more derived from fighting game than the Budokais were if it didn't have this level of depth to its customization that Budokai just didn't come close to. My biggest gripe with Super DBZ was that just about every ki attack was colored totally wrong. Of course, one could argue that I'm a product of the anime audience for saying that. I just don't like yellow Kamehamehas.

By posting three pictures of Vegeta, each with very different appearances, not all of which can be attributed to art style progression.

I wasn't aware that 11 constituted being a "Teen", but no, he didn't undergo puberty. He did, however, experience notable changes in appearance. I don't see how hard that is to comprehend.

Ok. Budokai 3: 3 different Gohans, 1 Vegeta, 1 Goku, and 1 Piccolo. Do you know why there were 3 different Gohans? Because he actually had changes in his appearance from arc to arc. The other 3 didn't.

And the only thing Budokai 3 did to barely accomodate their differences between the arcs was the capsule system, which did not at all manage to adequately distinguish their appearances and abilities.
