Dragonball/ Eragon (DVD)?

Post by SSJSteve » Mon Aug 30, 2010 7:48 pm

I was browsing through Play.com and found this: http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/16179370 ... oduct.html

I don't really see the point in this release.

Thought it was worth a post. :)

lolwut. They put them together because they're about dragons...So to speak? Bah, that's some great logic. >.>

Two shitty movies for the price of one.
A Dragon Ball/Urusei Yatsura crossover would be awesome.
Having Toshio Furukawa balance between Piccolo and Ataru would be hilarious.

That would make sense as to why they put them together.

I've certainly never seen them do that before. Very strange. Maybe it's an attempt to get rid of/sell excess discs from both movies?

I'm not sure how you market that though. :?:

Nah, it's more of a last-resort marketing scheme. You'll see "Double Features" packaged like-movies together all the time. I recently bought Raw Deal and Maximum Overdrive together for $5 at Walmart. Both were hilariously bad action flicks that had less in common than Eragon and Evolution.

Just go to Walmart and look for anything that's like highlighting a bunch of various actors. There will be these kinds of double-feature movies with like a piece of paper with the actors face on it or something. I see 'em everywhere, and got one of Will Smith. It was the first discs for I-Robot and Independence Day in a normal two disc case. I kinda wanted the special features for those, but oh well, it was $6 lol.

I'm kinda surprised DBE didn't get shoved into a double pack with Street Fighter Legend of Chun-Li. Two disappointments for half the price of one!

"FOX rapes fan favorite works" Double Feature. Still seems overpriced...

You win the award for the best response in this thread, Super Spaniard. :P

I also take it that Eragon is a bad movie. Good thing I didn't see it.

The book is better. Then again, that's how things usually are except for Stuart Little and the animated Charlotte's Web in my view.

Well neither of those movies have anything to do with Dragon Ball except for the idea of a dragon.
