Bootlegs?

Post by The S » Sun Jun 12, 2005 12:02 am

I have heard from a very close friend that this site is great for getting cheap DVDs, but while looking through them, I realized some of the covers looked different, and some series were condensed (like 5 or 6 disc sets being shrunken to 1 or 2 DVDs).

To keep things revelant, the link to DB DVDs: (link removed by mod... don't freakin' post links to obvious bootlegs, people)
You can look at your favorite series to help judge, though.

So if I bought from these guys, would I be getting screwed? Or a good deal?
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

You'd definitely be getting screwed. Don't touch that place with a 10 ft. pole.

It’s true, they are bootleggers. :?
And the subs are very bad as well. I mean, you can get what there talking about. But other than that......

I myself have 1 to 3, and I like them.
There a bit more sharper, and the only thing that FUNmation doesn’t have are those ending clips (the ones that show the next episode).

Buy at your own risk. Those dvds in that blue case are bootlegs and terrible ones at that. I unfortunately got them and to say the subtitles are horrible is an understatement, believe me.

Picture and sound is ok for the most part, but the audio during the intro/outro is badly compressed and with regards to the video there's a lot of pixellation at certain times.

Avoid them. Believe me you'll regret buying them like I did.

FUNi discs are cheap now... no need to go for bootlegs! Besides like the others said they are really bad quality.

I have a feeling this thread will be locked ... ^_^;;

I bought the first Dragonball one, it was ok, yes the subtitles are badly translated, but atleast you get the full uncut version.
