Most broken characters in DB video games

Post by Piccolo Daimao » Fri Sep 10, 2010 4:55 pm

What are the most broken characters in the Dragon Ball video games? As in, what characters do you think are the most overpowered and the ridiculously weak ones?

SSJ4 Gogeta from the Tenkaichi series. Especially in Tenkaichi 3.

I'm not familiar with which characters do what damage from the Sparking! series, but SS4 Gogeta did over 3000 damage in Budokai 3.
That's 3 health bars.
Yikes!

In the Sparking series his attacks are like a jackhammer. So are Butta's for that matter, but his are nowhere near as powerful.

Yeah gotta go with SSJ4 Gogeta. He is insanely fast.
Another contestant would be Kid Boo as well. He is also very fast and his Rush is annoying as hell.

Kid Buu is much more consistently 'broken' than Gogeta will ever be.

Yeah, but he's generally a boss.... you never actually fight Gopgeta in storylines.

How does that make him any more or any less of a broken character?

Typically, people only label characters as "broken" when they lose to them over and over and over and over and over and over...

Kid Buu, I lost one battle, it was a matter of figuring but his play style. SSJ4 Gogeta? Not only had you had to do that but then you had to deal his over powered attacks that were reflecting his power levels from GT.

Bulma in Budokai 3...

But in all seriousness I think Goku in the last stage in Maximum mode in SSW2. Also most final fights in the first Tenkaichi game.

Not really. Plenty of fighting game fans call characters broken regardless of their playability.

The most broken character in a Dragon Ball game is probably Piccolo in Infinite World. If you go into hyper mode with enough Ki you can spam Makankosappo until it hits, and every time it hits it fills the opponent's fatigue bar, leaving them defenseless so you can do it again. And again. And again.

Yi Xing-Long in the Sparking! series. Ridiculously exploitable "Blazing Storm" attack, damn near unavoidable, large damage, short charge time with certain equipment. 'Nuff said.

I never really had much issue with him.... and I would play the GT Goku vs. Yi Xing Fight a lot, because it was a good spot for Dragon Ball collecting.

It's fine when the computer's playing him because he's not equipped with ki-reducing Potara and it doesn't spam that move.

But it's incredibly easy to exploit by any human player. There's not a single match in the Battle Sim that can't be won with that one move. And even human vs human, it's still ridiculously hard to get around.
