Hi guys FindKenshi here and I was about to post this.

DaizEx which is one of the most authoritative websites of the English community Dragonball Fan Community Discussion Community, or as I like to call it the Dragonball Fanbase of the Western World At Large, and has become a central hub at length for the most dignified well-informed authoritive translated directly by resident badasses like chibi gohan and herms, who have put forth so much time and effort for the benifit of all fans, however one thing remains.

The Ultimate.
The Impossible
The Unheard of.

Do you even have a question about this? You know right off the bat what I'm getting at, and all the long winded beating around the bushedness of this internet forum message post can't hide or deny it. There's after all only just one link left in the chain towards absolute unrivalved perfection.

Akira Toriyama.

I mean, why not? It's the future now.. that is to say, the year is 2010, and what was once considered absolutly 100% impossible or such a distant dream that many would consider it a fantasy, that has been acomplished and how. And I'm only talking about achievements in this Dragonball Fan Community. So why, why not try? Why not at least take a stab at it.. what's the worst that can happen?

This about it like extending a power pole to the moon, either you'll make it and become an absolutly legendary god or you'll miss and no one will even know the difference. After all, no fan has ever accomplished this right? It's never been done. It's considered absolutly impossible. Maybe it's even become taboo in this Community to even consider the possibility. After all you have a better chance of being struck 1000 times by lightning or having a beer with the President just for sneaking into his office right? yeah. It's not impossible. It CAN happen.

And only you guys can do it.

DaizenshuEx has beocme such a focus of attention, that even a employee of Toei has established a presence here. Why not, I mean most freshly translated news straight out of Japan gets dispensed here first, and sure the staff of this site may be proud and rightfully so, but why not take it a step further and become perfect legends to the point where eveyrones heard of this place even those casual fans that may have never clicked a DaizenshuuEx in their entire life

Akira Toriyama, making direct contact with this creator of our hobby, our obsession, call it what you will. At this point the only thing left to do is to contact Akira Toriyama himself and to pick his brain to the upmost maximu. And I know that Mike hates these so called 'debates' and scoffs at the idea of arguing about Kid Buu vs Super Buu or which ssj form Gohan was when he fights Dabura, but so what, the Fanbase Community in General loves this kind of stuff.

And we all have to admit that every single interview of this Akira Toriyama at present continues to be more and more dissapointing.

And the man 'ain't getting any younger.

It's time to finally corss that last barrier, which was to never ever in this universe or the next, even consider of dreaming of the remote possiblity of being crossed. You guys should somehow some way establish contact with Akira Toriyama. Haven't you at least dreamed of this at least once in your entire time runing this site? Dont' lie I know you would have hoped or at least thought "wouldn't it be cool" if he somehow noticed Daizex and gave his approving nod?

And yes I knwo theres the whole "we respect his Privacy" thing and the whole "It's impolite to ask such questions, after all he forgot who Tao Pai Pai was" or "We have much better stuff to ask him, like development stuff or Inspiration stuff, or ANYTHING other than picking his plot apart." After all, if you asked him such a question as the ones I mentioned above woudln't you think he'd be insulted like "oh my god, these American fans are insane and they also don't get my story.. ugh how should I answer this, oh well burn and shred the letter and they can just realize that I'm removed from the Public and no one in this world can ask me such things it is forbidden and taboo, it shall never ever be done."

But in all honesty, maybe he would actually lend us an answer or two, wouldn't you love to see such long winded debates that inevitablly break down into name-calling and flaming and trolling slapped hard by the Hammer of Our Utmost Authority and Creator of the Fictional Unvierse in which we love and follow and worship?

It's not impossible, it can't be. You have to find Akira Toriyama and ask him these questions before, GOd Forbid, it becomes too late. Only this elite echelon of SuperFans which run the Ultimate website have the clout and influence and knowledge and resources to pull this off.

DaizEx Phone Home to Akira Toriyama.

Oh and sorry for my English. Yes, it is my first, and only language, but shamefully I'm drunk posting. And dont' worry thats actually a rarity for me. So it probably would never ever happen again.

Hahaha, oh lawdy. I wouldn't have brought this up if I were you.

It does seem like it would be cool to get a Daizex and/or Kanzentai exclusive interview with Toriyama. But the question is...what would they ask that hasn't already been asked and answered? Well, I do suppose there's a lot to ask regarding recent things like Kai and DBO.

Dude... don't use the computer when you're drunk. I have posted here and on Twitter a few times drunk and... I always regretted what I said. I usually delete it or edit it out. It's never as funny or insightful as I think it is when I post it lol.

Of course, it's harder to tell yourself no when you're drunk, but... it's worth it.

In the unlikely event something like this were attempted... I'd propose we try to come up with a list of questions, and make them as concise and short-winded and as few as possible, keeping in mind the unlikelyhood that many would get attention. XD

But yeah. When I finally realized what the post was suggesting, I released a laugh of maniacal excitement.
'T'would be awesome, certainly! Certainly! :D

Ugh, didn't you even read the post? They'd ask who is stronger, Kid Buu or Super Buu, what Super Saiyan form was Gohan when he fought Dabura, and other such questions.

Also I don't regret making that drunk post, I only regret the long-winded ramblingness of it.

And Toriyama would go, "Gee, I dunno. I was just making it up as I went along. Didn't really put that much thought in it." And then he'd go all William Shatner and say, "Geez, get a life!" :P

I do agree it would be awesome if this site managed to interview the (relatively reclusive) Toriyama. Probably not gonna happen, though. And I have to say I disagree that his recent interviews have been disappointing. He's consistently revealed (or invented) many new background elements to the Dragon World, little bits of cool trivia, things like that, which I personally find more interesting than debating battle power.

XD

I'd still vote deciding on questions in an extremely organized and well-thought out manner... long after the hypothetical confirmation for the hypothetical interview happens, hypothetically.

Eh, even if no new information came of it, it would be awesome.

Let's remember what VegettoEX said he would do if he ever met Akira Toriyama (hint: episode0076 of the podcast). XD

Nope! Toriyama cares more about what's in between his toes than Dragon Ball.

Kid Buu...?

what Super Saiyan form was Gohan when he fought Dabra?
I've never seen/read that part of the series, haha. So I guess that would be a legit question for me :P

Anyway, as said before, it'd be hard, but it would be cool...if Toriyama cared enough, hahaha

If we ever asked Toriyama these questions that we still debate about long after the series finished, we still probably wouldn't get a satisfactory answer. Reason why? As many others have stated, Toriyama has forgotten a lot of things about the series and even attempting to answer a question that has been an obsessive focus of numerous fans for 15 years when he's probably long forgotten what SSj form Gohan was against Dabra is pointless. He'll probably just say, "Er...Yeah, he was SSj2. Why on earth would I draw him as SSj, when he'd obviously be SSj2? Huh!" That, and it would just cause another rift within the fan community, with one side hanging onto his every word and saying whatever the author says is right and the other claiming that it holds nothing, since Toriyama's forgetful and it goes against what he drew in the manga.

Better questions wouldn't be those insignificant little things that only us fans care about. They'd be more important things like, "Why did your art style change as the series progressed?" or "What was your favourite arc?"

Hence, I'd say "meep Kanzenshuu EX Toriyama interview = win~!", but still say "carefully planned questions".

Granted, fan debate questions would likely turn out with unsatisfactory answers. The only way around that I can see would... ur... lean heavily toward pushing one view or the other.

Let's... just ask Toriyama for his hat, as Rachael still has to eat it.
(What, you thought we'd forget that? DBE happened, unfortunately...)

Actually, no, he may give us a complicated answer that probably doesn't make any sense, like when he said in an interview that he thought a 50x multiplier for SSj was too high, and that he'd drawn it in mind of being 10x "up until what he'd been now". That doesn't make any sense, and we'd probably get a similar gobbledygook answer if we asked him who was the strongest Majin Boo.

Basically, we'd have to come up with a very clear and concise summation of the different sides in each debate, and ask his opinions on them.
I would imagine that at that point, he'd be thinking "Huh?".
I was considering finishing that with a play on Toriyama's response to DB:Evolution, but having him decide that something fandom a different dimention just doesn't seem to make enough sense. :(

Neah, the problem I see here is that the "The half of us that were proven right..." gives off a feel for an attitude that would be dangerous for this rot of thing. :P
