Strange questions about DB
I hope I don't double any topic:) but topic about rumours remembered me some questions I had to answer about DB.
Honourable mention:
-Isn't it a French cartoon? (French dubbing could be heard behind Pilish overdub)
III place
-How did Bulma and Vegeta got together? Did she make him drunk and raped?
(I dunno)
II (I was watching Movie 8 with my friends and my Mum goes by. She looks on the TV and open mouths to traditional question "what sex is that being on the screen" when main hero appear and...)
-What... what is it that sick creature.
And the winner is...
The same film, luckily no parents around, friend of mine really wants to know something...
-Eire, have you seen all of them
-Yes...
-Could you explain me one thing?
-???
Was Brolly a virgin?
Even now it makes me face look strange. Any propositions?

Re: Strange questions about DB
I'll try to answer these questions in the best way I can.
No, Dragon Ball is not a French cartoon, it's Japanese and was made by Akira Toriyama. The early parts of Dragon Ball draw a lot from Chinese mythology, however.
How was Trunks concieved? There's a multitude of possibilities...in the manga, I think Trunks says something along the lines of that Bulma saw him sitting all alone, and then it just happened. My theory is that Vegeta finally transformed into a Super Saiyan and, on a high, flew back to Earth, drugged Bulma and then raped her in her sleep. Before anyone says I'm a sicko for saying that, just remember that Saiyans are vicious, unpredictable bastards. No wonder Bulma thinks he's a jerk.
I'm sure that Broli is a virgin. Ignoring the fact that no woman in her right mind would ever go near the guy, I think inter-racial relationships within Saiyans is pretty rare. Saiyans probably think every race in the world are inferior to them.

Bulma raped him, becouse she was a bad woman!
The topic is like "obscure rumors". I don't really need answers:P

Re: Strange questions about DB
Oh, OK. I thought I'd offer my own perspective on them (the Vegeta & Bulma and Broli ones were obviously jokes, though). I think I'll read over DBZ Volume 13 later and think up a Vegeta x Bulma fanfic. I want to be an author, but I can never get started on original stories of my own (I either end up unable to think of a good beginning or get "writer's block"). Maybe if I have a basis, then I can get it off the ground.Eire wrote:Bulma raped him, becouse she was a bad woman!

Re: Strange questions about DB
Eh, I gotta say if anyone did any raping in that relationship (geez, this thread's taken a weird turn, hasn't it?) it would be Bulma. Although personally, I subscribe to Rocketman's theory that Yamucha came in one day for Thanksgiving dinner, minding his own business, to find Vegeta bending Bulma over the table, and she just couldn't hear Yamucha run out crying because her face was too submerged in the gravy boat. Or something like that. I wish I could remember where that post was.Piccolo Daimao wrote:How was Trunks concieved? I'm pretty sure if Dragonball wasn't kid-oriented Saiyans would have a tendency to rape women of the planets they wipe out.Piccolo Daimao wrote:I'm sure that Broli is a virgin. Re: Strange questions about DB
It's from this thread, The Top 5 Romantic Moments in DB That Never Actually Happened. Here's the quote:
Rocketman wrote:And Trunks got his information from Bulma, who probably wasn't going to say what really happened. "Yeah, Yamcha ran off crying or something during Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't see real well cause your dad was pressing my face into the gravy while he fucked me from behind. Mmm...gravy."
Yeah, for all we know, Saiyans could have a raging libido that they're just dying to let out, but can't because 12-year-old Japanese kids are going to be reading this. "So I'm a virgin by the time I meet Bulma? And you don't even show what happened between us in those 3 years? Damn you, Toriyama!!!"Senzu_Bean wrote:I'm pretty sure if Dragonball wasn't kid-oriented Saiyans would have a tendency to rape women of the planets they wipe out.Piccolo Daimao wrote:I'm sure that Broli is a virgin. Re: Strange questions about DB
Well, seeing as how Bulma talked Vegeta into doing several things her way....staying at her place, taking a bath, wearing clothes she picked out for him. I can imagine her talking him into doing "that". Vegeta wouldn't resist, because he's a man.

Re: Strange questions about DB
Yeah, which reminds me of that part after everyone gets transported to Earth and Bulma says, "You can stay at our place. Just don't do anything naughty! I know I'm hard to resist!" And Vegeta just has a comical face of embarrassment, saying, "What a vulgar creature...could she have said that any louder?" I found that funny, and something that could be referred back to in a Vegeta x Bulma fanfic.Ahiru77 wrote:Well, seeing as how Bulma talked Vegeta into doing several things her way....staying at her place, taking a bath, wearing clothes she picked out for him. Re: Strange questions about DB
That is the dumbest question I have ever heard. Drugged or not, how could Bulma, a small weak woman, manage to rape Vegeta, a man who can destroy a planet on a whim. That doesn't make any sense.
Bulma may be an promiscuous bitch, but she isn't a rapist. When did she ever give off that impression? You may not like her, but she would never do anything like that.

Probably the same way Chichi did it to Goku... copious amounts of food!
I don't think anyone is seriously suggesting anything as terrible as rape happened to any character. But I certainly believe that it was the females who initiated the "relations." And, yes, Bulma is a promiscuous bitch. I'm glad you see it that way too.

Re: Strange questions about DB
Yeah. I guess. But that wouldn't really be classified as rape, more like bribery.
Bulma is a promiscuous bitch. I don't hate her though. In fact, she is one of my favourite characters. I'm just not blind to her flaws.

That conception never made sense, and it`s easy to see why, it was Toryama`s dorky way to introduce another character fast in the plot. Yamcha and Bulma were always on and off over the years, mostly because of her attitude, so if there was one person to call it quits, it would have been Yamcha. But somehow Trunks line reads like Yamcha was the one doing the cheating, which according to everything we have read thus far, does not add up.

I'm think it was Vegeta. Think about it, he's probably never had sex with anyone since he left for Earth at the start of the Saiyan arc.Gaffer Tape wrote:Probably the same way Chichi did it to Goku... copious amounts of food!![]()

Did you say that he had sex with anyone before at all?
No woman of his kind, no suitable looking woman at all. Do you assume that Frieza organised a brothel for his soldiers? (I'm serious now- prostitutes used to be a part of every army so some of them tried to organise them and control in some ways)

Re: Strange questions about DB
I disagree. I can see it either way. I can't recall enough of DB to know if I'm remembering wrong or not, but I thought I recalled some hints that after Yamcha got over his girl-phobia, he became a bit of a ladie's man, and I know at the beginning of the Z portion of the series when asked what happened to Yamcha, Bulma seems to imply he ran off cheating on her, and that's why they broke up again. I think Bulma and Yamcha were both kinda likely to cheat, and that suited their on-again off-again relationships. Vegeta just happened to come in at one of those 'off' periods, Bulma's hormones were raging, and...yeah, I believe it's far more likely that she initiated things, and Vegeta just didn't resist because...why the Hell would he resist?!Olympian wrote:That conception never made sense, and it`s easy to see why, it was Toryama`s dorky way to introduce another character fast in the plot. I can also imagine the idea of 'Saiyajin would rape and pillage their victims', because they're kinda like space vikings. I'm not sure about Vegeta himself fitting into that equation, though, being an extremely proud prince - not exactly his style to have gone about raping alien peasant women. Imagining him as a virgin before meeting Bulma is a bit...odd...but at the same time doesn't seem terribly unlikely. He was always focused on power, so I can see sex being an afterthought, especially when you couple the royalty holier-than-thou attitude with it.

Re: Strange questions about DB
Hmmm Vegeta only cares about power and surpassing Kakarot.
Bulma- Chichi always tells me what a great lover Goku is. And you, the Prince of your race, is still a virgin?
Vegeta- WHAT???!!! THAT LOW-CLASS TRASH SURPASSING ME??? BEND OVER BITCH AND I'LL SHOW YOU THAT I CAN SURPASS THAT THIRD RATE VERMIN!!!!
Yeah, probably like that. As for the rape and pillage thing.... yeah, I can totally see other Saiyans raping the women of the planets they attack, with Vegeta off someplace bored and seeing himself above that kinda behavior.

Re: Strange questions about DB
I personally strongly believe Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz would rape the women of the planets they conquered. My fiancee hates it when I say that though because she's a huge Vegeta fan and doesn't want to envision him in that way. But I just say, "So murdering millions of people in cold blood and enjoying it is ok, but rape isn't?"
She says rape is a more sensitive subject to women and she hates to see her favorite character like that. But still, I can't help but envision just about everyone in Freeza's corps (Including Freeza himself) to rape and use forms of sexual torture.

Re: Strange questions about DB
Nope. It never really happened like that. You're letting things like the dub and the Dragon Book info confuse you a bit. The only time we ever get a hint of why Bulma and Yamucha are fighting, it's Bulma's mother who explains that the fact that Yamucha is handsome has made him popular with girls, and Bulma is just too possessive and jealous to handle that. True, Bulma's mother is an idiot through and through, but when your own mother won't take your side in a relationship argument, you know something is wrong. And of course that's entirely consistent with her character. And that line from the beginning of the Z portion is dub-only. Bulma makes no indication what their argument is about there. She basically says, "Yamucha, that jerk? I'm so angry at him I didn't even tell him we were getting together. We're all better off without him."Suupaa Gohan 2 wrote:I disagree. We are never given any scenes that show Yamucha acting at all lecherous or even flirtatious around any women (unless you count his fake seduction of Chichi back in volume 2). Meanwhile, we see Bulma, during her relationship with Yamucha, fawning over and groping every hot man she comes into contact with, including General Blue and Zarbon, the latter of whom is standing in her way while she's on a quest to bring Yamucha back to life.
At best, Bulma's inclination towards jealousy led her to believe that Yamucha cheated on her, when it was more likely that a hot girl was pressing her boobs in his face while he passed out from fear. At worst, she's just a bitch who had to villify her ex to her son in order to make her look a little less slutty by comparison.
