Ah, right... Well, that's pretty anticlimactic. I just remember there being people saying the original dubbed version of that scene (where the farmer says "That smarts..." or something to signify he's alive) was an example of Funimation censoring the violence. If he was never hit in the first place, I dunno what these people were talking about then.

4Kids will probably just the skip the entire thing all together and somehow edit it together so that the Cell Junior's never existed or something. Any way, does anyone know how they handled the makankosappo, the part where the blast impales Goku and Raditz, in the dub?

The makankosappo just hits Goku and Raditz and they get bruised, blood is entirely removed I believe.

The blood was removed in the original Japanese Kai too, remember. With a very bad, black "scorched" looking overlay.

Just goes to show that even the Japanese are capable of fake-looking, unconvincing editing.

Well I was watching the latest episodes of Dragon Ball Kai today and noticed that 4Kids digitally opened up Gohan's eye which was injured from Piccolo's training. Then when I saw this scene I couldn't stop laughing.
