On a side note, the amount of bricks I shat while laughing could be used to make a house. Just the way the jokes were delivered in the original French version are much more coherent, which is where half the humor comes from. If I have time tomorrow, I'll try and translate it so that it has more flow.

I don`t believe any of those jokes was lost in the english translation. Maybe they could be more evident with better phrasing, but still... They are there, they are present and are easy enough to understand.

@ DBM I wonder what universe they will cover next. At first I thought it would be universe 13, which allready has its own fan manga floating around on the internet(the one called dbm anthology), but I don't know if that is what Salagir has in mind, I mean the pages have been easily available long before the revelation of this new special, so we won't see anything new.

I think they should make one about U9 that's easily the most interesting out of all the others.

Not...really. Dragon Ball AF came out first, I do believe. We've also known for years that Broli would be used in the main story for Dragon Ball AF.

It`s always great, but eh, nothing new either. He has always been a hero since his desert days. The difference here is that in this universe he gets to be *the* hero.

I think it's funny as hell, look at this comment:

"Ok, things are getting interesting but I'm not sure how I feel about Mary Sue... Guess I'll see how things unfold but I just cannot justify Mary Sue here."

People just don't get it and take it so seriously

As someone who leafs through a lot of bad fanfiction, I can assure you, Kat was indeed a Mary Sue. Probably one intended to portray a self-insert at that.

The thing is, Kat wasn't all that effective and most Mary Sues are supposed to actually be able to do something beyond getting assaulted by a horny Kakarot. And we don't really know much about her outside of her using sex appeal to win fights and failing when it mattered. Being hot in and of itself isn't enough to make her a Mary Sue or a parody of one.

I dont understand it. I hate Yamcha so that must mean I hate the entire comic? No logic there, bud. I love the comic. Just not destroying the entire attraction of U9.

Kat was a Mary Sue

She can't have been. What traits did she have? Only the impossibly pretty one and the guys being in love with her. but thats only because of her ability. Is Ranfan a mary sue because she used "strip attack"? A true Mary Sue will take over the comic and absorb Buu then kick XXI's ass single handedly, then marry Vegetto and have super babies that can turn SSJ 158475832.

I don't read DBAF, but I'd say those are just some common things that groups of DBZ fans would like to see. There are so many Broly fans out there, and I think many people have wondered "what if one/both of the female characters with Saiyajin blood went Super?" At least the latter is something that I would expect to happen in a wide range of fan comics, and, well, I don't think we should be too surprised by Broly. I mean. Especially if you're pulling from the sort-of-kind-of (in this case) canon DB universe, there are only so many villains, anyway...
But like I said, I don't read DBAF so I don't know just how similar we're talking here. Those two things just seem like they would be kind of common themes.

SPOILER!!!!!: According to the novelization they know about Videl(who is also there at the tournament), Yamcha has a son with Bulma called Trunks(and he is not happy about Bulma supposedly having children with a Saiyan) who is also there at the tournament, Kulilin is a lot weaker than Coola, and Tenshinhan is supposedly weaker than King Cold
