For added bonus, you could edit the video as well and replace the censored scenes with Z's uncut scenes.
That would require not only purchasing the necessary software to do so, but it would require purchasing the entirety of Kai and Z on DVD (not that I haven't contemplated doing exactly this). But yeah, you said
hardcore.
I'm too poor to be hardcore.

Not really. You don't need to buy Z at all. You only have to buy the Z OST.

If that doesn't solidify the negative stereotypes of the fandom, I don't know what will. I mean, at least it made sense back in the old day when FUNimation was censoring Z, but this is what Kai is originally like.
If they put the blood back
and add Z's soundtrack I would graciously spend money (and sell the older sets). But, that's never going to happen.
Why don't you just watch Z and skip the filler?

That would be impossible, as 90% of the filler is woven into the canon.

Repetitive Strain Injury from having to switch between "Play" and "Fastforward" so much.

Thank you. I don't know how many times I've heard people say something like: "thank god that DBKai skipped the Garlic Junior arc. It sucked". Uhh, you can skip it in DBZ too. It's called the fast forward button.

Yeeaah, but the Garlic Jr. is not nearly the worst of the filler. It's the long, tiresome stare-downs. It's added, unnecessary exposition. It's the incidental scenes that draw out 15 page chapters into ENTIRE EPISODES.
"Skipping the filler" is NOT. THAT. SIMPLE.

It's still possible to fast forward through the stare-downs to when they actually start fighting. But, yes, I will agree that some filler scenes are hard to fast forward through.

Yeah, but that's just extraneous. Some people want to watch a SHOW, not keep fast forwarding, then accidentally going too far, having to rewind, then press play again. Constantly. Just get rid of what shouldn't have been there in the first place and boom!

Also with the dub fans it is so much more than what it means to the Japanese. To them it is just Z without the filler, but to the dubbies (like me) it is a good script and great voice acting at last. If I was a fan of the Japanese I wouldn't have much interest in Kai. But as a dub fan it is just so much more than taking out a little filler.

I've brought this up time and time again too, the "fast forward" argument is really getting old now.
If DBZ's filler was all in the form of stand alone episodes that you could just skip, there'd be no problem or need for Kai in the first place.

Why does all filler have to be treated as evil? Can't some of it be good? Is everything Toriyama did 100% epic and everything the rest of the cast did independent of him 100% fail?
Sean Schemmel is THE MAN! :)

Not all of it is bad and not all of what Toriyama did was better, but MOST of it is unneeded, often contradictory, and usually detrimental to the pacing.

Some is good. There still is some in Kai and it doesn't really get in the way.

I guess that's just the mentality some people have. Same goes for stuff like GT.

Kai leaves in a fair deal of filler; people are praising it because it's cutting material that was sheer fluff. It's not a matter of "it wasn't in the manga; this is shit." It's "this was in the manga, and they ruined it."

Is Gohan's birthday in Kai? I also really like the stuff in that one failed engagement episode.

Piccolo and 17 just fought in the Japanese broadcast of Kai. Gohan's birthday isn't until after Cell announces the Cell Game. I figure that, like pretty much all other complete filler episodes so far, it likely won't make the cut for Kai.

While some people don't like GT just to be in the majority, the majority is there for a reason. It's not as if some Japanese fans joke that "GT" means "Gomennasai, Toriyama-san," (We're sorry, Mr. Toriyama) for no reason.
