Sadly? Why would you want another Burst Limit? What the Dragon Ball game franchise needs is a completely new game series.
Another one? Nobody's wallet could keep up with that. We have at least 3 currently-ongoing game series, with another potential 312 from games like Attack of the Saiyans, Tag VS and Revenge of King Piccolo.
That leaves us with two adventure games(RoKP and the Origins series), Three fighter games(BL, RB, Tag Vs), an RPG and a MMO that should be coming to the states soon. What more do you want, an FPS?
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I really, really doubt RoKP will get a sequel (sold poorly every where). Origins 2 did not perform well in Japan, so any sequel to that would have to ride on the back on US and EU sales... which means I wouldn't hold my breath for Origins 3. I suspect we'll get another DS RPG.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Should Tag Vs really count as its own fighter? Its just Tenkaichi with four players on screen.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

It's a separate game, so yeah.

Weren't you the guy who said Shin Budokai is basically a rehash of the console Budokai games? You seem to reek of hypocrisy right now.

A game with some depth and a development cycle that was over a year. Dragon Ball games hardly ever strive to just be excelent games. Just fan service. Like I said, something of the same caliber of a game like Batman: Arkham Asylum would be nice. Of the literally dozens of Dragon Ball games to have been released since 2002, when they started coming to the US, not a single one of them have got an average of at least 80% on game rankings. Thats just pathetic.

God forbid we get a product that isn't half baked.

Yeah, but one can only dream. I'd love to see a quality revamp for Dragonball(Much like Batman saw....just not in the Unreal engine), but with Spike running the show that's not going to happen. It irritates me because there are a lot of people on this forum who seem to understand what a good video game should play like, but the "professionals" can't seem to exceed past a C-.

However, I don't think we need another new series. Spike should sit down for a few years fix all the kinks and problems in the now Raging Blast series and make it something worth while. If they can't handle that then we need new developers not a new game series.

I prefer BL over RB. I'm not a fan of the Tenkaichi style. Its too slow IMO. As for the complaint on BL about people spammin ki blast......wtf is this Street Fighter? That like complaining about Ryu throwing Hadokens over and over. Its your own fault if you can't get around it. Ki blasts aint nothing on BL. I love people who spam them cuz they are so easy to get around. I do hope for a BL2. RB may have more characters, but BL has better gameplay and cut scenes IMO. 'm not looking forward to RB2 at all. RB1 was.....meh

Oh it is, but it's still technically a separate game. Like how Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV are separate games.

Give us a sequel that goes to the Buu saga and has more than 50 characters.

Seeing just how MUCH special attention and care RB2 is being given; I'm going to go with BL was just a test for the PS3 and didn't pan out.

Well, maybe not a new series per se, but maybe more original games, at least, rather than just rehashes of the predecessors. And more care, time and development being put into them.

Which surprises many seeing as it killed RB1 in sales.

I don't care if a game has every single character in the series including the girl in West City Goku paid to point out the police officer, if you're camera sucks, you have a bad game.
