Goku's power up from first Vegeta battle to Ginyu Force
When Nappa asked Vegeta to check Goku's power level when he arrives back from Snake Way, it was 8,000 right(or maybe OVER 9000!!!!)? But after he trains in the Caspule Corp remodeled Saiyan Space pod on his way to Namek, he trains up to 100 times earth's normal gravity. In the battle with Captain Ginyu I think Ginyu said he was at 180,000. So he became 20 times more powerful from the gravity training alone?

The narrator states that Goku was receiving multiple "zenkais" during his time spent in 100x gravity. So while the training helped, I'm pretty sure that the zenkai-spamming played the most part in Goku's power increase.

I had to look up Zenkai on Draon Ball Wiki... Never thought of that. Now that I think about it . . . He did almost die while training. I guess I forgot because I was watching Kai.

Yes. I believe Goku needed 2 senzus while he was training. In fact, Vegeta was explaining to either Cui, Dodoria, or Zarbon (I can't remember which, I'm a little rusty) about how Saiyans grow even stronger when they are revived from near-death. Right after Vegeta explains this, we see Goku slithering to get a senzu.warrior72989 wrote:Savage68 wrote:The narrator states that Goku was receiving multiple "zenkais" during his time spent in 100x gravity. So does this mean Goku is more gifted than Vegeta? He got bigger power ups from near death damage.
Re: Goku's power up from first Vegeta battle to Ginyu Force
FYI, his actual max normal Battle Power was about 90,000. The 180,000 was his reading while performing a Kaio-Ken. So he only got about ten times (or, as I prefer to view it, 80,000+ "points") stronger, not twenty times. And like others have already said, that was just as much, maybe even more, due to him abusing the zenkai system during the training than the gravity training itself.

Se he trained in ten times the gravity he had been training at Kaiou's and he became ten times stronger (with the help of Zenkai spamming). Makes sense to me.Kaboom wrote:FYI, his actual max normal Battle Power was about 90,000. The 180,000 was his reading while performing a Kaio-Ken. Goku is surprised by how powerful he feels when he finishes his gravity training. Was he aware of Saiyans' ability to power up when recovering from injuries? Vegeta obviously knew.
I can see their parachutes.

The narrator even says that Goku had noticed the near-death powerups, and that's why he implemented it in his training.GizmoKSX wrote:Goku is surprised by how powerful he feels when he finishes his gravity training. He shot himself with a Kamehameha too, for God's sake.

Plus, Goku says to Vegeta that he knows his strength increased after he came back from near-death, and that maybe he could defeat Jheese. Just because he was surprised how powerful he got doesn't mean he didn't know about Zenkais. Goku was surprised at how powerful he became after he got a Zenkai from Vegeta's beating too (when Ginyu was in his body), and it had been long since confirmed that he knew about Zenkais.Godo wrote:The narrator even says that Goku had noticed the near-death powerups, and that's why he implemented it in his training.GizmoKSX wrote:Goku is surprised by how powerful he feels when he finishes his gravity training.
