Then again, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with DBox 2. Actually, that's wrong, I can think of one glaring omission...
Then, wait... if so... are the ones who already got the boxset (including me) are screwed because we won't get the TV special?!

I hope FUNimation would allow to replace our copies if something like that happens! And more specifically, the ones from outside America because, as you know, they don't even allow us to visit their site! And responding to non-American customers is waaaaaaaaaaaay debatable and highly unlikable!!

There haven't been any reports of anything wrong with Dragon Box Two as far as I can remember. And even if there were, wouldn't FUNimation say something? Didn't they have some kind of replacement plan for one of the D.Gray-man sets when something went wrong with that? (EDIT: Actually, it was Darker Than Black.) The didn't quietly discontinue it. The report of one Best Buy sending their copies back could just be them sending the Boxes to a re-seller or outlet store.

But then again, they've canceled the Ultimate Uncut Edition and didn't say anything about them, did they?!

Yeah, that seems does like FUNimation. :P My point was that they probably wouldn't just discontinue the set and made a new one if there was something wrong with it. I think they would say something and possibly issue a replacement plan like they did with Darker Than Black.

The fact that only the second box seems to be out of print is really bizarre. Has no one asked Funimation about the reasoning for this, or what it means for the other boxes? This seems like the kind of thing they'd want to get word out about immediately.

Bought if from Axelmusic, spoke to someone called Rasmus.. Amazing customer service indeed, the man deserves a promotion! :) I was pretty amazed they were actually willing to pay money in order to get my item shipped! I Don´t think many other retailers would do the same thing, would they?

What about the random discontinuation of the Coola Double Feature DVD? Thinking about that, I'd say this may be a similar case, considering box 1 is still all over the place. We still know nothing about the Coola Double Feature DVD though, and that's been gone for a while now.

I highly doubt they would re-release it with the special now what about all the people that bought DBox 2 already?, and we are already up to four I think the specials will be either included in DBox 7 or Dbox Z The Movies.

I thought all the double-features were being slowly discontinued. If it's just the Coola set, then yeah, what the hell?

How have they not addressed that?

All the others still seem to be in print, and readily available on sites like Amazon and Rightstuf!, but the DVD of the Coola Double Feature has disappeared from nearly everywhere, and sellers on Amazon are charging over $70 for it. The Blu-ray still seems to be manufactured though, which is even stranger...

FUNimation has been really unprofessional lately. They're playing the "shhh, it'll be okay..." waiting game. It's not funny or "cute", it just pisses people off.

If they'd just speak up and say whether or not these are limited releases, it might actually increase sales for the other boxes. But if they keep quiet about it, the early demand won't be there, and people will just end up paying jacked up prices to second-hand sellers later on, which doesn't benefit FUNimation in the least. The same way they stealthily stopped printing the old DB two-disc singles, causing them to be worth way more than the original MSRP for a good while.

I see people tweet at FUNi about it almost everyday, but I've never seen them respond. I just don't understand.

The abnormaly of Dragon Box 2 being out-of-print so fast, is almost as weird as the Cooler Steelbook being out-of-print so fast.

I'm pretty sure the Android 13/Bojack steelbook is going out of print as well. I ordered it on AxelMusic a few weeks ago and it's still "on backorder."

Anyone know if any non-DragonBall products from FUNimation are having this problem?

So it seems... It's no longer on Amazon or Rightstuf!... but the Blu-ray still seems in print yet again... Perhaps they are being discontinued... I don't know if I should hurry and find the remaining ones I don't own, stick with my singles or wait and see if FUNimation releases the Dragon Box movies...

I really wish they'd stop being so silent about all of this, it's really bothering me since I always try to make the wisest purchasing decisions, but I can't if I don't know if things are limited releases, or being discontinued... There are things I want more than the Dragon Boxes, but I know I can get them whenever I want, but I don't know if I can say the same about the Dragon Boxes, which makes them a higher priority... I'd regret passing up the chance to own Dragon Ball Z in a decent format more than I would waiting a few extra months to get another game or DVD that I want, so I will purchase the Dragon Boxes shortly after they come out, but I really want to know if it's necessary or not...

My general theory is that, unless there's something wrong with the current batch of DBox 2 sets out in stores right now and they're simply quietly replacing them with some new batch, they're probably just taking them off the shelves depending on when they reach a certain low point in sales.

How about retailer stores? Do they already run out of stock too?
