Those figures are the probably the coolest figures I have ever seen. They look astoundingly good and they are one of the few I wouldn`t mind having.

That is an amazing collection dragonxpiece!

I never noticed that the boxes make a background, that's pretty cool. 8)
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

The collection: I bought it from a collector friend. He got it from his contact in HK who buys imported goods from Japan.
It is really hard to find all the volumes. The ones you can find are really expensive due to the high success of the figures and the difficulty to get them, since they are only available in Japanese crane machines or Japanese retailers (for a li'l higher in price).

You can try eBay. BUT ALWAYS ask the sellers for the pictures of the ACTUAL item in stock. Because there are TONS of BOOTLEGs. The way you differentiate is to ASK for a PICTURE of the TOP of the BOX (sorry for the capitals but those are the keywords) because ALL the originals should have a TOEI golden sticker on the top right corner of the box.
If they don't have it, DON'T BUY it.

That is some of the best advice I have read here. DBZ Toys = Bootlegs. Toei sticker or if not packaged look for the stamp - such as Bandai. I would say 99% of gashapons on ebay are knock offs.

another way of obtaining them original is to buy on yahoo auctions Japan.

also if on ebay, try look at the sellers feedback, if someone bough a bootleg, most likely left negative feedback.
and of course try buy from American or Japan sellers. if the gashapon you want is only available in Japan but the sellers on ebay are in HK and use a stock photo, perhaps you should be carefull about the item. try avoid HK sellers when buying Japanese exclusive items.

Cool pics, but once again this is the "Recent Purchases" thread, not the "Dragon Ball Collection" thread. Unless you bought all those yesterday.

My recent purchase was the Dragonball Kai 2011 calendar I ordered from Yesasia.com along with two others. It should arrive by the 15th.
My YouTube channel:

I do random, weird skits, booster pack/ blind box openings, and convention vlogs.
Please have a look. I'd appreciate it muchly ^_^

lol that sounded like a ''hater'' comment.
whatever i spent on it does not matter. what matter is the product right? bough it yesterday or 5 days ago is still my RECENT purchase, the topic of this discussion is MOST RECENT purchase not yesterday not today , simply the most recent. and that can be a month ago or so as long as its the Latest purchase someone made of DB

it happen to have the other 32 One Piece figures in the same spot as them so that why they included on the pics.

By all means, I'm not hating. I'm impressed that you were able to move that much money to get all of them. I admire you as a fellow collector actually.

And I understand the limitations and extensions of the term "recent" thanks. I already clarified that I bear no ill will towards the fact you posted the DWC purchases in this thread a few posts back. :D

glad to hear.
as i said before, it looks like i spent that much but i will put a little story to clearify :P

i have been collecting Saint Seiya since 2003. I have my BA in Business already so decided to move to Miami to get another BA in International Relations. that will require a lot of moving and space and saint seiya boxes are big and well you can see on pics.
so i decided one day let me sell some of them see what is up. but then i found these figures and i was so amazed by how cool and detailed they were that i decided to collect $1,000 to purchase a lot of them. well 1 week passed and i was almost no where $200 LOL . so i was like, you know what, my biggest inversion and asset are the Saint Seiya figures, So I decided to sell some of them to use that same money to purchase the DragonBall ones, because in that way its like I never spent one cent from my waller nor my Work money hahaha. so i consider it a "Trade" for the Saint Seiya figures.
if we want to put it on a $2000 for them, then we can say would have been a $2000 over a period of 7 years :D .
eitherway i still have quite a good amount of Saint Seiya for sale, so I believe we will be seeing more DB ( if they release more) soon. haha.

That's awesome, I wouldn't have the patience to collect the money; let alone get over the turmoil of being torn between selling my figures or keeping them lol. But kudos to you, it's an excellent collection you've undertaken.

I know, but i was already tired and kinda annoyed of Saint Seiya figs and even the anime is sooo boring Lol.
the figs wont stand on their own, is stressfull to put the pieces on them, might take an hour or two to put a fig together. and a bunch of other elements, so the choice to switch collections was not that hard at all =)

thanks for your compliments. wait till you see them on the curio ;-)

Oh god, I know how it is with some figures that have pieces that take time to assemble and have annoying pieces that fall off etc. I feel your pain :(. I can definitely understand why you let them go! lol.
Oh yeah, I can't wait for more updates!
