Dragon Box disc holder problems

Post by Raven » Wed Oct 06, 2010 2:01 pm

So I just received my Dragon Box 2.. But when I opened it I found out that the disks on the right side, where there's only 1, don't come out like they should; It's like they're stuck. Even when I push the little '' push button '' as hard as I can, it feels like the disc could break into pieces any minute. It even takes me about 2 minutes before I can even get these discs out of the case. Now, I had the exact same problem with box 1 ( on both disc 1 and 4 ) but I thought it was just that copy. I also noticed little scratches on the inside of the dvd-ring on these disks, I'm a little worried, but I'm not sure if scratches on that part of a dvd can cause it to malfunction?

Does anyone else have the same problem? Because it's pretty bad to have 4 out of 12 disks that are pratically stuck :|

Well, it is a bit difficult to get the disc out the first time you get it, but after that it pops out normally.

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!

Well its better to have the discs stuck then to have them fall out of the box, like I have with Dragon Box 3.
One of the nobs that hold the disc in place was already broken on arrivel :(

I've taken the discs out a dozen times by now.. But they're still stuck. I literally have to pull 3 sides of the disc as hard as I can before it jumps out :?

It's frustrating that some discs and very easy to take out and then others are very hard to get out. Not all discs are difficult to get out, it's only a few in each set. It's nice to know there not going to full out, but when it feels like there going to snap it's horrible!

They should be snug, but not that tight, especially after you've taken them out a few times.

I had the same problem with my recent DBox 4 purchase. I took a knife and scraped away the outside plastic of the push button until I no longer had problems inserting and removing the disc from said disc holder.

This happened to me with a few of my Steelcase movies. I tried to take the discs out, but nope, they refused. As SSJSteve said, it really is a bitch when you have to bend the discs a little to budge 'em out, knowing that they could snap ever so easily.

I don't think I've had any issues getting the discs out of the cases with my copies of the Dragon Boxes, but I have avoided having to deal with it in the future as I have a DVD wallet which I store the discs in for easy access. It's a system which works for me, but may not be for everybody.
