Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I don't see the problem. There is nothing that indicates it isn't a technique that can't be learned or something exclusive to Kibito. The fact Kibito, a Shin, can use it and Kaioshin also a Shin cannot, shows isn't something unique to their race.DNA wrote:But.... that's just guess work... Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I agree with Senzu. Also, since when telekinesis is not a technique? I believe the first person we ever saw using it is Chao and there is nothing indicating he is not human. Also, I believe Uranai-baba can use it as well (and it is how she flouts in the first place) and she is most certainly human (like Mutenroshi).
I suppose you could call it 'magic' as well. But there is little to no evidence Vegetto can't learn magic anyway (and Instant Transmition as well as the Fusion Dance are also close to 'magic' anyway).
PS: Salagir does, indeed, loves to do shit based in nothing. However, since he is also concerned in never contradict the canon I don't see the problem with it. There is nothing indicating anyone other then Kibito could learn his abilities. But there is also nothing indicating the could not.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You mean like Goku being born with the power of telepathy? Of course who knows if Goku actually was born with it, but it's never explained, how he suddenly can do it, he just did it.DNA wrote:You can't teach someone how to use telekinesis, it's something you're born with.Heatth wrote:I agree with Senzu. Apparently Goku learned telepathy an ability he has never shown to be capable of before meeting King Kai, so it can be assumed he learned it from him. As for Vegetto learning magic tricks is as possible, as the aforementioned example, it doesn't have to mean he suddenly becomes a master of magical power. He would still need to train to be able to reach such heights. Plus it could also stem from the fact, that he was born because of magical power. Just look at the fight with Buuhan, he was turned into candy, but was able to fight back unlike anyone else.DNA wrote:So... Vegetto is also an warlock as well as a ki warrior. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Again, stop ignoring facts. First time Goku uses telepathy is when he puts his hand on top of Kuririn's head and reads his mind. He also says he doesn't know how or why, he just knew it would work. What it can be assumed is that with his spiritual training, Goku reached a higher state of mind, and he probably had that dormant ability to begin with, his training just made him access it. Meaning, North Kaio didn't teach him the ability, North Kaio doesn't even have telepathy, he uses some form of mind conversation thing, he can't read peoples minds, he can chat with people using his mind.dbgtFO wrote:Apparently Goku learned telepathy an ability he has never shown to be capable of before meeting King Kai, so it can be assumed he learned it from him.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You know that because...? I don't remember any point of the manga mentioning how people learn telekinesis. It is from Daizenshuu? Please mention your sourvces or I will just ignore this statement.DNA wrote:You can't teach someone how to use telekinesis, it's something you're born with.
Do you read my full post. Or is my English that bad? I said you could call it 'magic' because there is very few to no explanation about the difference of a ki based technique and a magic. If you call Kibito's techniques magic I call the Instant Transmition and the Fusion Dance magic as well. That way Vegetto would have always been a warlock, so learning a few new tricks is not weird.DNA wrote:So... Vegetto is also an warlock as well as a ki warrior. Ok...
Or I could just call Kibitos techniques 'ki based' so Vegetto don't need to be a warlock. Either way, DBM is not contradicting the canon.
It is not even stretching the canon, really. Pretty much every technique except for transformation can be taught, even some really weird techs (like the fusion dance). Why are you just assuming this one must be different. Heck, even some degree of body transformation can be learned, like Tenshinhan's four arms.
Yup. However, not this still does not contradict the canon (the manga) at all. By all effects Broly just another original character that just happen to resembles a well known character. Every movie character and plot is being treated that way. It is based in some Toiei work but Salagir is changing everything he thinks is needed to tell his story. If he decided to make Tapion stronger then Zen Buu it is his right. You are allowed to complain and say it is a bad decision, of course, but not to say it is against the canon ('cause it is not).DNA wrote:Bullshit invincible Broly says hi.
Please note Goku also apparently learned some mind conversation trick after training with Kaioh. The first time he used it was to talk with Kulilin to stop him from killing Vegeta. He is not as good as Kaioh, though, since he is apparently not able to talk with too many people or from too far away (he needed Kaioh to talk with everybody in the Earth in the Grand Finale). There is nothing saying it is Kaioh who taught him, but it is not an absurd conclusion.DNA wrote:Again, stop ignoring facts. Anyway, Do you realize this don't change nothing right? Goku just 'learned' some weird not ki based trick. You say it is thanks to his spiritual training, well, Vegetto is just as spiritually trained, so why can't him learn some weird tricks himself.
Btw, I have to say I am thankful to being completely ignorant of Dragon Ball international fandom until recently. That way I am not biased and can enjoy Broly for what he is (a plot device, a mad indestructible character not much different from Kid Buu). Though I suppose having started reading DBM just recently also helped (Vegetto vs Broly is cool to read in a single sit, but it would probably be annoying if I had to wait for every page).
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I am not ignoring facts. Neither you or Heatth were correct on this one, because the first time Goku uses telepathy is when he guides Gohan to push the Genkidama back at Vegeta. So that's why I assume he learned it from King Kai.DNA wrote:Again, stop ignoring facts. First time Goku uses telepathy is when he puts his hand on top of Kuririn's head and reads his mind. So yeah, what King Kai is doing is without a doubt telepathy, as he can transfer his thoughts to another being, and that person can reply meaning King Kai is reading his mind.

Suck it, Broli!
Just drop the baby, Vegetto. It's not like the half-fusion of Goku would ever have trouble finding something.

Oh, yeah, I forgot that one time, my mistake. However, I have to side with DNA in that issue. Even though both abilities can be called 'telepathy', this don't mean they are the same. As DNA pointed, both Goku and Kulilin were surprised when Goku read his best friend's mind. If talking in other people's head were the same, neither should have been surprised. Also, note that, while Goku talked with Gohan and Kulilin in their minds, neither replied in similar way (Kulilin simply talked back).dbgtFO wrote:I am not ignoring facts. What I am trying to say is you can't just say that the ability of "talk with other people in the minds" is the same as "read the mind of other people". They can be very different. For more evidence, Mutenroshi can read other people mind (and he don't even need to hold their heads), but apparently can't talk with people by mind (and was very surprised when Goku did so with him). I believe they can be somehow related, however. That is, both using the same 'logic' so knowing one is helpful to learn the other.
For example, being able to use the Kamehameha don't meant you can use even the simplest form of nameless ki blast (Goku,or any other character couldn't do the later for quite a long time). Also, as Videl and Goten demonstrated, being able to throw ki blast is helpful for learning the Bukujutsu (fly), but it don't mean you know one if you know the other (Goten didn't know how to fly at first and Videl don't seem to be able to project her ki with enough strength to attack someone even after learning how to fly).

What I mean is, that communicating with the minds of other people falls under the definition of Telepathy, something, that DNA said wasn't telepathy. What he is talking about is a subdivision of telepathy, reading minds, but he apparently didn't know, that communicating with one's mind is telepathy as well, so he said I was wrong, when in fact I'm far from it. If he only wanted to talk about Goku's mind reading abilities, then he would be right, but since he mentioned "telepathy" and not "mind reading" he is wrong.Heatth wrote:Oh, yeah, I forgot that one time, my mistake. No because just look at Broly, who was born with a BP of 10.000, but ended up being the strongest being in his universe, after more than 35 years.Ussj Future Trunks wrote:Anyone else think Bra's power is way too low?
Bra however is already in the top 3 at least, and perhaps top 2 if her SSJ 2 really is stronger than Gohan. Plus she is only 16 years old!!, and yet she is still way up there with the big guys, even though, she haven't had some special trigger for her first SSJ transformation AFAIK.

I got it. And don't disagree. However, I am pointing that having different forms of telepathy don't mean that being proficient in on means you knows the other. DNA was basically wrong in disagreeing with you, however, what he said was still correct in some level. Lets say you two were just talking of two different things.dbgtFO wrote:What I mean is, that communicating with the minds of other people falls under the definition of Telepathy, something, that DNA said wasn't telepathy. We were, he just gave it the wrong term classifying it as "telepathy", when that term covers a wide range of abilities. He should have used "mind reading" to back up his statements, but he didnt', so I corrected him. And yeah let's just leave it at thatHeatth wrote:I got it. And don't disagree.
