I was responding to the other guy who thought that by editing some of the scenes, CN's promos saying "uncut" were false advertising, which isn't the case. But yeah, I hope that they don't really require naked ass to be cut, so that the episodes will continue to be uncut.Blastero wrote:What do you mean? I never even remember them making any sort of reference to the "Ultimate Uncut Edition" line/brand in the CTN promo. All they said that these were new, enhanced, and, yes, uncut versions of the episodes. And if they can prove to me that the FCC would require a naked man's animated ass to be cut on a TV-PG show, I will be really shocked. The Simpsons showed Homer's naked ass several times. I've seen shows with even lighter ratings than PG get away with showing animated naked asses.CN's claim of uncut DBZ didn't mean completely unedited episodes, just that they would air the Ultimate Redub episodes, which already contain unaired footage, so they decided to say "uncut" in the ads. There's only so much they can actually allow.

That is a show that is targeted to adults more than children. DBZ on Cartoon Network is targeted to kids. Period. And trust me, it absolutely is possible that the FCC would require it.Blastero wrote:What do you mean? Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

Cartoon Network doesn't answer to the FCC as it's cable. Cable networks' Standards & Practices do that for themselves for what is and isn't acceptable. Anyways for the whole shocking things, CN let those slide on shows that were TV-G. Like I said before, back before they started to edit out suicides in old MGM cartoons and Looney Tunes, they aired with TV-G ratings. And we've seen Dexter's naked butt on a TV_G rated show. Heck, we saw Goku, Krillin and Recoome's naked butts on TV-Y7 which is below TV-G.

I don't remember whether or not it was rated TV-PG or TV-14, but there was one episode of YYH when it was on Adult Swim where Yusuke flips Kuwabara the bird. Either way when it comes to that ep, who knows what will happen. Flipping the bird is one of those things that usually can't be shown on TV. I've seen movies where they cut out scenes of flipping the bird. I also remember a while back, on the 1999 MTV Movie Awards, the initial broadcast showed Chucky flipping the bird, but the reruns had his finger blurred out.
Some times they do it worse, where they put their left hand on their right arms muscle as if to say 'right up there!'
I think they will leave it in there.

I wonder what proofs people have to say that Cartoon Network was suposed to air an edited version of the episode and mistakenly aired the uncut version.

Here in Portugal, that were the only two scenes that were cut, we have seen all the other things, but the midle finger is not allowedDBW wrote:Well, one way or another, the Russian Roulette and naked Goku scene made it onto TV. I guess it's time to officially start up the next controversy. The middle finger; will it remain intact, or be edited away into an angry fist?
Episode 61 and episode 66 (plus the recap in episode 67).

Videl, you agree to a certain set of rules when you sign up on the board. One of these is that you will type properly. Quite obviously, you're not doing so. Consider this your official warning to get in shape. Otherwise, you'll find yourself outta here.

This is why I like these forums. It's the near enough the only place where people get warnings for typing like that.VegettoEX wrote:And here it comes.lost in thought wrote:1.)
