Raging Blast 2 has by far the MOST effort put into it than any other DBZ game I've ever seen.
Where do you get this bull from?
Burst Limit sold far more copies than Raging Blast, Raging Blast didn't even slightly reach 1,000,000 copies sold, Burst Limit broke that by over another quarter of a million units.
Would you please explain to me if BL was the 'better game'? Raging Blast DOES have more popularity because it has a continuing series where as BL got left in the dust. You can't have a game with only a partial part of the story, and with such a tiny roster and it be in a tiny 2-D situation.
Sales alone aren't everything...as seen by the release of RB2....and the talks already of Rb3.
And you can't argue the fast that much more effort is going into RB2 than was put into BL.

You assume far too much, I prefer Raging Blast (as I've said many times) but Burst Limit did sell far better and it's likely the reason it changed hands was because DIMPs were making two other games whereas all Spike does is publish most games rather than develop them.

I, and plenty of other people, liked Burst Limit more than they liked Raging Blast. We're not some small minority. We actually made those sales figures. Sure, you could also argue that timeliness factored in (Burst Limit was far earlier in the "next-gen" cycle, which may have prompted more people to jump on)...
... but seriously, LeprikanGT, get off your nonsensical horse about there being some line in the sand about which one is "good" or "better" in some kind of universally-applicable descriptor. What you see as "good" with regard to number of characters, story arc length, story mode type, etc. isn't necessarily what others find or place value in, so stop pretending that you define qualitative terms for everyone.
So why is it that we are getting Raging Blast 2 instead of Burst Limit 2? Isn't this the same discussion we've had time and time again? Perhaps it has to do with what Dimps is working on these days versus what Spike has going on. Perhaps it has to do with budgets (maybe one's cheaper than the other to develop). Perhaps it has to do with intended/potential sales for certain areas of the world. Perhaps someone with enough money in the right management position has something up their butt dictating development direction (try saying that five times fast). It could be any bazillion reasons why we're getting one instead of the other. Who knows?
Buy what you want, speak with your wallet, blah blah blah.

@Vegetto EX,
Could it be argued that Raging Blast was better received?
Sales figures aside, Burst Limit was the 1st next gen game which could partially explain why it out performed Raging Blast.
There is also the online gameplay to consider and in this case, Raging Blast continues to gather a large community. Also, in this day and age, online competition continues to gain popularity and Raging Blast is meeting this need.
My two cents anyway..

I think the reason why Raging Blast sold so poorly is because Burst Limit left much to be desired.
@CrimsonSparrow
I just asked because someone on Anime Secret forums temperarily changed their usual user name into that. His name is Dark Shuyin.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

In any of the videos, have we seen Majin Buu use any of his moves yet? I wish they would add the one where he throws a piece of himself at you then beats you into the ground...like Majin vegeta.

GAH! Why so late? I have nothing to do all day and I want to play the new Sonic game.
And the RB2 demo tomorrow.

From my point of view, I think it's because Dimps has moved on to better things. Dimps had potential, so they where picked for more top notch games unlike Spike.
But yeah, argueing about which game is better is getting pretty tired. When a person has an idea in their head, it's like a parasite. Once an idea is in someones head, it's almost impossible to take out. Unless we do some Inception or something lol...

Then come the flood gates of demo videos.

For some reason I feel quite apathetic about the demo, I may still get a gold account so I can download it though

Wait, do you need some type of special account now to play demos? Or is that the 360 stuff?

That DS would be me.
After Secret Saiyan got destroyed it became a quiet place.
And since the Atari Community consists of only idiots atm, my choice to seek a RB forum brought me here.
On a side note:
I never liked the Budokai fighting style.
But in story mode / music, Dimps really kicked ass.

... No, it's about the PS3's new account system that they release tomorrow with the update, you can't download anything unless you pay a fee for the privilege of having all of it available to you, it's like $15 a month.

I followed the thread quietly the last few sites and then I read your shocking news. WHAT?!?! AM I READING RIGHT?
So I can only download the RB2 demo with a PlaystationPlus account?
Wow if that's true I am pissed beyond infinity...

That could possibly be the stupidest #$%^&*( thing I have heard all month. Why do we have to PAY money to play what is supposed to be free to begin with? Was there some sort of news release or something about this? I couldn't mind anything about it on the playstation site.
Who in the hell is going to pay $15 a month to play demos? They seriously need to rethink that little piece of sales right there. The good thing abt PSN was you DIDN'T have to pay for most of the stuff on there. I feel like I want to DIRECTLY blame....'the other system' but I know that's not it...but that was the very first thing that came to mind.
That's gonna puta HUGE dent into who gets or doesn't get the demo.

Burst Limit didn't get a sequel because Dimps went on to work on
actual fighting games. They co-developed the console version of a little game you might've heard of called
Street Fighter IV. NamcoBandai is continuing to pump out Sparking games because Spike sure as hell isn't busy making anything else, and it's all they have left. A game that doesn't sell as much is better then no game.

Raging Blast 2 IS a fighting game...so save your little italics for something else.
Also, they aren't making Sparnking games anymore. That ended with PS2, we are now on the RAGING BLAST series.

Why're you using such foolish arguments to contradict a rather intelligent post?
It's still part of the Sparking! series in the sense it has the same overall design, Spike even proved this when they said "returning characters from the Sparking! series" instead of 'new characters'.
He did say 'actual' fighting game, never did he say this isn't but hinted at it and quite rightly too, it's more of a simulator than a fighting game in my opinion.
