In the Japanese Budokai Cell mentions the "warui Genki" while forming it, something which means the bad or evil energy. This indicates that in contradiction to Goku's Spirit Bomb, Cell's bomb is filled with EVIL energy.

I have the feeling a lot of people would have stayed dead. Something tells me only Krillin, Gohan, and Bulma would have gotten off Namek and none of the others would have been revived. (Possibly even only Gohan and Krillin.)
I don't think only Gohan and Kuririn would have survived, the Dragonballs that got gathered would have taken care of anyone dead, like it did for Vegeta. Maybe the story was intended to end by Goku and everyone else teleporting off Namek and Frieza dying with Namek, but since Toriyama was persuaded to carry on with the story.

I've seen people ask things like 'how can the Legendary Super Saiyan be achived by nearly all the Saiyans when the legend is supposed to be one in a million years?'(was it a million?)

Well if the story did end with Frieza, the legend would have been true but Toriyama was forced to make certain things 'not true' in order to make the continuing story worth watching, like making the rest Super Saiyans too. He's assistant was the one who sparked the idea of Fusion, the neat little idea that made up a lot of the Buu saga, even though no fusion defeated Buu, it was still a treat to see it performed.

And yes Conan, the buu sag does have good twists, if someone watched it without knowledge of how the story ends, it would be a good watch.

Cell could probably produce some kind of Revenge Death Ball (without having the energy of hatred towards Saiya-jin, of course).

Anyway, is the Genki-dama really an attack that only attacks evil? I mean, I would interpret (sp?) that, such an attack would only work with evil beings, but we know the Genki-dama could destroy a planet. Perhaps what makes the Genki-dama more "mystic" than normal ki attacks is the fact it has the wishes and hope of ppl. Buu was created by magic, he was a mystical being so, the Genki-dama was a pretty good attack to finish him off. Freeza was pure evil, but the Genki-dama only worked like a very strong attack. The same would happen with Cell, I guess, because we tend to forget this, but he is a biomachine and acts the way he was programmed.

(Eep, at the end of my last post I meant Krillin and Bulma, not Krillin and Gohan.)

Anyway, no. The series most likely would have ended like this: Freeza tries to shoot Goku, Piccolo takes the shot, dies, Goku transforms, fights Freeza, Freeza blows up the planet, fight continues, planet explodes, Goku dies. And unless Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma left the planet before hand, they'd be dead too. And with Piccolo gone, no more DBs, no more wishes, everyone's dead.

I think that, though it would mean no SSJ2 Gohan vs. Cell, it would have been a great ending to the series. Better than either of the ones we got, at least.

<Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.
