Oh, lovely. That means the orange bricks are the default.
Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:

Maybe not. I wouldn't be surprised if, eventually, some new cheap-o Dragonball Z set came out that replaced the Orange Bricks and used the DBox footage. You have to admit, the packaging for the DBox is a lot more elaborate than any of the Bricks.

Of course, this is all assuming that FUNi is allowed to do such a thing.

The packaging is very elaborate compared to most DVD releases in general. FUNi could release a much cheaper and smaller version of the complete series, or maybe two sets. We probably won't hear a word about it until after the seventh DBox is released, but it's certainly a more optimistic idea than just throwing the good version back in the Toei Vault.
I can see their parachutes.

If FUNi never released the DBoxes in the US, i'd have no choice but to buy the season sets.

For redundancy, and to people who missed the thread about the ANN interview, I'll just point out that it has been confirmed, like, 100% that the NA Dragon Boxes are limited. The head of marketing guy of FUNi said so. So even if DBox 2 keeps popping in and out of production here on rightstuf and amazon, one of these times it is going to stay gone. Better grab it quick guys!

Fuck, I need to buy box 2, and I hate most of the episodes on that box....

Anybody know a web-site that sells the boxes cheap? Not like Amazon or eBay, but some underground website.

It's becoming more rare. It'll just be getting more expensive. Better just grab it now on someplace like Amazon.

You don't even like 4:3. Why would you buy the DBox?

I like 4:3, but it's not that great on a HDTV.

Which is what you own, right?

Don't buy stuff just because it says Dragonball on it. Buy it because you know you want it.

Wow, wait a minute. I never buy things just because it says "Dragonball" on it. I want this because, I want to have own DBZ in its entirety. How it was meant to be. Plus, I like the packaging.

Then it isn't such a hard decision. You either want it or you don't. Either you can afford it or you can't. Just go from there.

Trust me, the Dragon Boxes look good on ANYTHING. My family just got a brand-new, big HDTV for our living room, and I take every chance I get to watch my Dragon Boxes on it. It's not technically "high-def," but the footage is so good that it might as well be.

I can afford them, but I already have the entire series....And if I had the Dboxes, I'd be tempted to not open them.

Stop being wishy-washy. Either you want the DBox or you don't. It's not a big deal.
