I never said that I'm definately going to buy them now. I said that I'm going to reconsider it, now that they're going out of print. Maybe that's just me being weird. No need for the mocking and condescending post.

Dragon Box 4 is pretty awesome, it's nice to see some Dragon Ball on my TV again. :D
So glad I bought these two.

It was more of a joke than anything. Lighten up. I just don't understand the logic. If the Orange Bricks were going out of print, I'd still never consider getting them. I don't want them now and I won't miss them after they're gone.

The difference is that you never planned to get the Orange Bricks. I and many others planned to get the DragonBoxes, but now they're going out of print.

That's fine. As I said before, it's a personal thing, since I already own all the Season Sets. There's no need to be a dick about it, though.

I'm not purposefully being a dick about it. I told you I was joking and to lighten up.

Sorry. I didn't realize that your choices in cartoon DVDs were a personal matter not open for general discussion. I'll be more careful in the future to not reply to what you say in an open forum as you might just be babbling to yourself about things you don't want other people to know about.

This seems to be a common issue for me. First Schemmel and now you.

That guy had an entire page of arguments with me about that.

That's because you also make no sense. Don't talk about me like I'm not part of the discussion. You can call me out openly. I'm not going to come to your house Jay and Silent Bob style or anything.

What? I never said you can't comment on my DVDs purchases. Where are you pulling this from?

It's a personal matter, right?

I'm trying to understand your logic and you're just calling me a dick and saying it's a personal matter. It makes me think, "Okay, it's a personal matter. He doesn't wanna divulge. He just wants to tease people into inquiring and then not deliver the answer."

That's what I'm getting from this. Since you commented on possibly getting the DBox, I wondered why you wanted them when you didn't want them before. I know you said that it's because they're going out-of-print, but that doesn't change the actual contents of the DBox and that's why it's so confusing. I wouldn't have cared had you never brought it up in the first place.

Ah man, I'd rather not have a disc become ruined somehow, only to have an orange brick disc be the only viable replacement. Especially if it's "season two"... :( Not only that, but there's lots of other things I want as well, but many of those things I believe can wait, while the Dragon Boxes cannot. I am likely going to have to get the future sets at least by 3-4 months after their release, if not sooner...

That's why I'm hoping some future release of DBZ down the line will be the DBox footage in a cheaper packaging.

I have no problem with the US Dragon Box being limited. I'm not that big of a fan of them anyway. But I might as well get them cause they are the best quality DBZ we can get.

Well, yeah. But that doesn't mean you can't reply to it. I posted it on an online forum, after all.

You posted saying that you don't understand the logic behind my DVD purchasing habits. I posted back saying that's all fine and dandy, but those are my personal habits. What might not make sense to you, makes sense to me.

I'm gonna go with Daimaoh here. Kendamu, you may not have meant it, but your post did make you seem like a jerk. Just because he has habits that you think are strange doesn't mean you have to belittle him. Once again, you may not have meant it that way but you sure did come off like it.

Yeah. I know. I clarified twice that I was just messing around.

Also, Piccolo, I understand that they make sense to you. I was wanting you to explain it so that it makes sense to me, too. You're just beating around the bush and coming off like you're trying to be a dick to me.

Is it so hard to explain why you suddenly want something that you didn't want before just because there's less of them now? Is it an issue of wanting to own rare products? Did you suddenly see some merit in the contents that you didn't see before? Were they something that was just a low-priority purchase ("I'll get to it later") that you can't put off now that they're limited?

What's the deal? Why are you dragging this out like some DBZ staredown?

EDIT: Here's an example.

"I'm going to buy the DBox instead of the Season Sets."
"Why would you do that, Kendamu? There's less audio options, they're more expensive, and they're not all out yet!"
"I'd rather have the 4:3 picture, I prefer the Japanese version, and the Dragonbook seems really cool!"

Looks like when I throw in another hard drive (which will be soon) onto my machine...I'll be making back ups of my dragon boxes. Seems like the right thing to do.

Logically, the season sets are a lot better.

What kind of logic are you going by to get there? The ONLY advantage the season sets have is if you care about the Faulconer score. In contrast, the DBox has better colors, the full picture, complete credits, next episode previews. In terms of quantifiable facts, features, the DBox stomps all over the season sets.
