I second that opinon. It may not be the hard core action the rest of the world wants, but heck, I'd love it. And maybe it would tie into that whole "Booby" thing in DBO...? That would be pretty entertaining.

But then again, it is Akira Toriyama, if anyone knows how to tell a story and develop characters it's him.

Are...are we talking about the same Akira Toriyama? Because the one I know is terrible when it comes to developing characters ^^; backstories and such are just not his thing. If he were to write anything new, I'd imagine it would be a silly short ala the JUMP Anime Special, or Neko Majin Z, involving a period during the characters' lives that we didn't see (again, like the JUMP Special; it could be during the 10 years between the end of Buu and the end of the series, or something post-end, with Goku and Uubu visiting their old friends or something). I don't imagine him ever writing an entire new story arc, or going back and developing characters and past-concepts, because that's just not his thing.

Obviously, the anniversary and Kai and everything is just causing a resurgence of popularity with the series, and I wouldn't doubt that it might be true he's got some new Dragonball Manga thing planned...but I can't for the life of me, and honestly wouldn't want it to be, an entire new arc extending the story, which is over and done with. I'd love and welcome some more content like the JUMP Special, where we get to see our favorite characters in action again, but not in a way that it becomes a brand new srs bsns epic storyline after what has been for years a finished story.

If he didn't know how, there wouldn't be a story worth reading or watching.

I knew a new series would happen someday, you can't keep a series like this forever. Now I can't get hype up just yet since we know nothing about the story or anything.

Edit: Also this can be just a early announcement, and we will get more information later months later. Look at the new Godzilla movie for example, it was reported on bloody disgusting with no soruces or anything but now its happening.

As much as I'd love more DB (Yes to more comedic-style rivalry between Goku and Vegeta! I adored that in the Jump Special; I want to see more Goku pranking Vegeta for fun.) I have serious doubts that something this big would first show up somewhere that isn't in Japan.

3. Continue from GT and see what happened with him and the dragon. (or go on with Goku Jr.'s adventure)

I SOOO wish there would be more Uub, Trunks, Goten, and Tarble.

If nothing else, 'the manga' needs to see Uub so something. For him to be THAT important to Goku, we need to see him in action.

With the article saying it is supposed to promote DBO it would be more likely for it to be about it in someway(assuming the article is correct in saying that). I wouldn't want an a new SSJ transformation either, three was enough for me.
But yeah, Mr. Satan and Boo would be awesome.

I wouldn't mind Goten and Trunks reaching SS2 instead of them being forgotten about altogether. Pan.....definitely not Super Saiyan material at this point [if right after Z]. Since she is only like 1/4th Saiyan, she should have to work harder for it.

It could be right after "Z" and still be DBO-related. Example: About how Goten and Trunks start their school, how Kuririn and Tenshinhan rebooted the Turtle and Crane schools, Boo creating Booby, etc..
And as another user said before, I won't believe this until I see it on Daizenshuu EX's main page. On any day other than April 1st.

As long as it isn't like combining other characters into the canon manga; I will LOVE this. I'd want a continuation of the Z story...not a farce or him just playing cameo time with his other characters.

I want more action packed adventure! I know knowing about something SO early, then you have all that wait time.

Goten and Trunks can replace Vegeta and Goku and Uub can replace ultimate Gohan....although for the love of Kami, do N.O.T. abandon everyone else like Gt did.

Gt = Whats a Tien, Yamcha, or Krillin? I know Krillin was that little moustache guy that was killed and Goku found out and didn't seem to get pissed.....what happened the time before the last time Krillin died? Oh yeah! a fricken SUPER Saiyan transformation. [Slight sarcasm of course, but a valid point still]
