What did Goku and family do after the Buu saga?

What did Goku and family do after the Buu saga?

Two years later after the Buu saga, if we go by the 2008 special, we know that he is now a turnip farmer, but it seems like from his dialogue that he and Chichi have only started farming recently. So what has he and his family been doing in the meantime? Or am I reading too much into the dialogue?

I dunno about dialogue, but I think you're reading too much into the '08 special's "canonicity".

Go read up on DBO, there are the stories of what everyone did after Buu.

Do you mean between the end of the Buu arc and the 2008 special?
Aside from Gohan's high school graduation, I'd like to imagine that pre-daikon farm, Goku attempted a number of job professions--at Chi-Chi's insistance--that either backfired on him or he completely failed at. Though it wouldn't have been in an angsty way (because this is Dragon Ball) but to a hilarious effect ala the Driving Episode.


There's no way to know what actually happened during those few years in-between though.
(Unless another Jump Anime Tour special is made that covers the topic. >_> )

Between the end of the Boo arc and Goku meeting Oob, Goku obviously trained a cat. :D

Gohan wrote a book that taught the sheeply earthlings how to fight, fly, use ki, etc. Krillin and Tenshinhan revived their old masters' Martial Arts schools.

Well if you go by the final episode of Dragon Ball Z, Goku never stopped training and trains Goten. Goten has become a "cool kid" who's into girls. Gohan's become a scholar who wears a suit and glasses. And Videl looks like she might have some sort of job of her own. Business was as usual for Chichi. Man that sounds an awful lot like GT ;)

Probably because GT is much more in line with where the end of the manga/Z was headed than people give it credit for. Also probably because Toriyama provided the initial character designs/descriptions for the series.

Anyway, what did Goku and co. do immediately after the Buu arc? Fight Hirudegarn, of course.
